That's really interesting, Claire. Lately I have fallen down the rabbit hole of skin care, too, and for the first time in my life I have something that can be considered as a skin care routine, which means that I actually use some products regularly: AM: Kalamazoo by Lush as a face wash, Niod Re:pigment (this is supposed to brighten hyperpigmentation and sun spots as I kind of neglected sunscreen for the past 40 years 😊), The Ordinary Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F (a vitamin C derivative), Cosmetic Lad by Lush as a moisturiser and a mineral sunscreen by The Ordinary (not really my favourite product...) PM: Squalane Cleanser by The Ordinary, Sanskrit Saponins every other day by Niod as a double cleans step, Re:Pigment by Niod, Niacinamide 10% + 1% Zinc by The Ordinary and Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA by The Ordinary as a moisturiser. Once a week I use an exfoliating chemical peel. Wow, I really am a gay man, aren’t I 😂. I even thought about making a video about it, but now that some of my students found my KZfaq account this is very unlikely. I have stuck to this routine for about 6 weeks now (and have actually acquired other products that I want to incorporate into my skin care routine step by step, although this already feels like a lot). My skin feels soft and if I squint, the dark spots have actually become less visible 😉. This face mask looks so interesting, and yes, you are positively glowing. I also like that you can really use this basically whenever you feel like. Maybe it doesn’t really matter whether it has dramatic results as long as you take some time to take care of yourself and treat your body lovingly. These tiny rituals certainly make a difference!

Wow that’s not a basic skincare routine! I need to add a peel, which do you use? Yes that time for yourself is so important ❤️

@@Smurfygurly Well, it's just cleansing, one treatment, hydration and a sunscreen (which might be three steps more than a regular man does... 😉). As an exfoliator I have used Salicylic Acid 2% Masque by The Ordinary about once a week. This is a gentle exfoliating mask with clay ... and the salicylic Acid. I have also bought the "Non-acid Acid Precursor 15%" by Niod that is supposed to work like an acid because it encourages the skin to renew itself, but it isn't an acid ... I haven't understood how it does it, but if you look for Niod's website (that is also part of Deciem just like The Ordinary) you can find all the geeky information... Oh, talking about geeky, I recently read a lot about "Geek and Gorgeous" that have three exfoliants. Their "Calm down" exfoliant that has a low percentage of PHA+BHA acids (4%) sounds like something my skin might like and tolerate.

Nice review!! The LED masks really made a difference with the hyperpigmentation. I have used the light therapy before and really find that using a good 20% vitamin C serum, everyday as part of your regular skincare routine, will amplify the results of the LED. Love the before and after photos. Looks great!!

Thank you for your feedback and review. Was wondering if it is worth buying it for skin firmness... not many wrinkles but seeing skin laxity partly due to an accident. Also wondering about some scars but then there's no light on the upper lip ..and one needs to buy another device. again thank you for an honest review and you're beautiful :-)

As far as I’m aware you can use any skincare you normally would as long as your face is cleansed before using the mask.

I can definitely tell a difference. I will have to investigate further! 🧐 But when you look so gorgeous in the "before" photo, the "after" photo is just icing on the cake! 😉I'm like you...I don't drink enough water, either. Trying to get better about that.

The best skincare solutions are found through proper diet, vigorous exercise, restful sleep, minimize physical and emotion stress (crappy food, toxic relationships, etc.) and quiet prayer or meditation. Voila! Great skin! The only thing I use on my skin is a little natural lemon body cream during the cold/dry/breezy during the Winter months and drink plenty of water. Also, with the possible exception of redheads, you gotta get some direct sunlight...it's the best source of Vitamin D. Wearing sunscreen is toxic and dangerous--although the sunscreen companies and their paid spokesman (your dermatologists) would love for you to wear these and continue damaging your skin and needing further treatment--and eating shit foods (sugar and toxic goo) is what really ages one's skin. Also, healthy skin (your largest organ) is a byproduct of a healthy you. Poor health = bad skin. It's that simple. You are all very welcome! Now stop being silly, stop looking for some magic/tragic pill, and do the work required to lead a healthier lifestyle. Oh, and drinking alcohol on a daily/routine basis is TERRIBLE for your skin. Cheers!

Thanks Jim, I know you’re right but that’s a lot of habits to break, I definitely will work on all of it though whilst continuing to search for a magic pill 😂😂

I'm a skin care freak lol aside from frag head. Karen from The Beauty Maverick is awesome. Skincare is comprehensive in itself i.e. lots of water, nutrition, sunscreen, alcohol limitations😅. There is a lot of new technology in light therapy; that is the frequency. There is a well known skin care expert from the UK who gets it done at very high end places but it is ££££ out of pocket but you can see a visible improvement to her face and neck. I actually have severe migraines and insomnia so I want to buy the glasses that block the blue light emissions from everyday computers, phones whatnot. I remember your hayfever. I'm over 40 so I need all the help I can get with my "11s" and frown lines around my mouth. Décleor is loaded with essential oils so be careful with them. P.S. your skin looks great too! Sorry for the long essay but you know I can't limit my words Claire😒
