I have been using the omnilux for about 6 months. 10 minutes, four to five days a week. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! My dark spots have disappeared and my lips look more firm and lush. In fact, my dermatologist asked if I had lip injections. My overall skin just looks more dewey. Can't wait to see what it looks like a year from now. I am 60. Never too late to start good skin care habits.

100% agree, coming from someone (me) who knows basically nothing about skin products or usage this channel is amazing. Mostly since I don’t know about the scene I tend to think everything is a gimmick made to con people into spending money. I’m happy to see that there are doctors who at are not bought and pushing product for $ but rather care for their followers/ community. Great duo!

@@warrenRV a link to a product doesn’t mean it’s sponsored. Be smart. They wouldn’t be legally allowed to say it wasn’t sponsored (like they do) if it was. Also if it was sponsored the companies wouldnt want the competing products to be in the video & they’d try give them affiliate codes etc. that would make people more likely to buy it.

May be a bit late to be answering you but I had the Currentbody one and the connector has developed an issue. So it lasted for around two and a half years. Is that good value for the cost? I don't think so. They will repair if it is withing a 2 year time period but offer nothing in the way of a repair service after that. I think I will be looking for a cheaper one.

I've been reading so many studies on wavelength and wound care - it's so fascinating. One study stood out, 60ish participants over 12 wks, control group just washed their face and used blue light therapy for 10 mins. The others washed, used AHA then did blue light therapy. The aha group showed a huge reduction in acne. I have been doing this for 6 months, about twice a week and I can count on one hand the pimples I've had. Take that, cystic acne. Also, I read a lot of studies for wound care, healing and red light therapy. It's so fascinating how it supports collagen production. After wearing N95s for my 12hr ICU shifts, I do 3 to 5 mins of red light therapy to help my skin maintain its elasticity. Total humble brag but my skin looks way better than before covid and I wear so many masks. I love knowing there are others out there who geek out over these studies too!

Hey folks! Just wanted to share my own experience with red light therapy after diving into the research you've discussed. I’ve been using a red light panel from Future Form Official, a company based in Norway. Honestly, the results have been pretty impressive. I've struggled with chronic back pain for years, and regular sessions with this panel have really made a difference in reducing my pain and inflammation. What sold me was not just the effectiveness but also the price point - it's surprisingly affordable compared to other options out there. The panel is well-built and powerful, and I felt like I got a lot of value for what I paid. I’ve been recommending it to friends who are looking for similar relief without breaking the bank. Thanks for all the informative content here; it really helped me make a confident choice!

YES you’ve described one major reason why I appreciate this channel and find it to be so refreshing!! Not easy to find a de who’s got it all: dedicated to the scientific method and up on research, respects the psychology and emotions, respects that you’re not a moron with misaligned values (those are subjective, anyway), respects your hard earned money, finds the actual problem and targets a systematic and simple as possible way to treat, AND is efficient at communicating all of those things. Out of everything, the worst is when you’re mocked and not respected. That makes everything else go out the window.

@@mailesmith168 I went to my dermatologist (switching for the next time) a month ago with three problems: toenail trauma, hyperpigmentation and yearly mole checkup. She only focused on the last one. Once she pronounced them all ok, she didn’t care for the “esthetic” problems I have. She tried to say goodbye and leave the room to see next patient twice and I had to stop her and ask about those, even though I told her at the beginning that I have more questions and which. I was in there for less than 10 mins. She told me to wear sunscreen 😂 (I do that already)

Thank you so much taking the time out of your busy schedule reviewing the LED Masks Trend! This was informative and educational video, especially on what BLUE light and RED light does for us if we purchase a LED Mask for us to do at home instead seeing our esthetician/dermatologist's office. ALOT people get so influenced by celebrities, influencers, on KZfaq, IG, FB, Tik Tok, who are non licensed dermatologists marketing these masks that the audience will think if it works for them it work on themselves. Everyone has different skin, no one is the same. Again thank you for this review, appreciate it so much! Have a great one!

Excellent video guys! I have been researching LED lights for the past couple of years and just recently purchased a big panel for my home! I have watched SOOO many of your TikTok’s, but I finally made it to your KZfaq! As an Esthetician student (soon to graduate!), I really appreciate all the knowledge you guys share! I was wondering if you guys could talk about professional machines (like LED, hydra facial/other microdermabrasion, etc.) and discuss 1. are they worth the money (for a professional & for the client) 2. if the most expensive ones are really the best/necessary 3. of course it’s best to avoid the amazon dupes, but are there more affordable options that are safe and deliver results? I know this might be a more targeted video to skincare professionals… and maybe it’s something you do in a patreon type setting for licensed estheticians?? It might not appeal to your entire audience. But as a soon to be esthetician, the deals on these types of machines are tempting. Especially when the price tags on top of the line machines are so high. But of course I don’t want to get something that is unsafe, or won’t give my clients results. I could really use some professional input - especially from somebody who isn’t trying to sell me something. Lol. Thanks guys.

Great info. I had a free red light facial from my friend who has her own beauty salon, she's been wanting me to experience. Now I need to buy a home mask and am doing the due diligence research; this was extremely helpful. “Dr. Maxfield Sometimes has good ideas” haha. Here for the comments. 😉 I just ordered an omnilux, and I cannot wait to start treating my skin. These devices may have less power, but they DO sit closer to the skin, I would think that would require less power than the devices we use in office. My suggestion for video content would be Dr. Maxfield and Dr. Shah bloopers. Beside the no bs advice, this is what I find adorable with the connection you both have. Not overly rehearsed, and very personable. Keep up the good work! Ps... I work in oculoplastics, I would highly suggest protecting the eyes, it may be a very long time before the studies are out on any damage that these devices may be causing on the fundus , and then may be too late for some. Better be safe than sorry later on!

Lux skin care makes a great mask for under $60. (Its $47 right now) These insanely priced ones are ridiculous, and you are paying for the robot design and thats it. This tech isnt pricey, but because its anti aging skin care they put a few bells and whistles on it and charge the big bucks. You can even buy a grow bulb or grow box meant for plants (like a square shaped box with leds on it that you can bask under) and get the same exact results.

I'm a complete skincare junkie, no plan at all to rehabilitate. I will always be on the search for something new, and I do some research, I try to apply a balanced approach, but in regards to this, I've been this way for so long, I love the idea of hoping that something is going to change and after a while, it is about understanding and wanting to understand the science that puts the green light on so many of these products. I am ever hopeful, while careful, so I jumped the gun before long-term effects are ever really reviewed on whatever it is. I love the lotions and potions and devices based on long-term tradition, being studied for the science behind the lore, and I'm more apt to jump on board with whatever the devices. I've never met a product that truly harmed me that I have ever used, and I've never seen any evidence of cases coming forward where the device was harmful. This is my favorite dynamic in the skin care KZfaq region. Friendly, respectful, presenting facts as a united front, so even with just this one channel represents a broader spectrum of information, as they each have their different opinions about many of the topics, but not most of them. And each offers a range of data, studies, traditions, opinions on the effectiveness, on the safety. I never feel like I'm being sold to, so I appreciate that.
