@@z018246 I get what you mean, but the bible and our salvation is a story about how God IS the white Knight. He is in every sense of the word The Saviour. He made clothes for adam and eve after they discovered their nakedness, spared Noah and his family from the Flood, saved Lot from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorah, sends Joseph into egypt to ultimately save Egypt and his family from starvation, delivered Israel from Egypt... the list goes on. Wise beyond your years! I love these truths, especially the one about realizing that just because others sin differently from you doesn't make them that much different from you; we're ALL in need of salvation. That has really opened my heart to be less unsure about how to approach someone with different struggles than me. We all just need the love of God and the truth, and to give ourselves to His will. 🙌❤️

YES! Everything she said was spot on.... This is truly the result of Holy Spirit insight and revelation! When we encounter the living God, when we enter into relationship with Christ and He begins to show us Who He is and how deep His love for us is.... When we experience His incredible patience and grace, His gentle touch.... THAT is what does the heart changing, healing, transformative work within us!! We can't show anyone in the world the truth of the Gospel by pointing to SIN, we have to be a point of love and unconditional acceptance and let God's work in each of us point to our SIN by showing us the deeper issues of our hearts!! The root of sin isn't the things we do, or the stuff we want, it's a heart issue, an infection that causes all of us to experience affection for those things that are contrary to God's best for us. For each of us exactly where it begins is different, but for all of us it is caused by the faulty way we filter our human experiences, especially those that wound our hearts. How we perceive those experiences without God in our lives , and the lies we believe about ourselves, others, and the world as a result of those experience and wounded places left unattended to by God, leaves us broken searching for ways to feel whole and finding things of this world to fill us up, but they leave us empty!

“It is hard to be a believer than to be an unbeliever” it is really true, it is hard to be a Christian because we are giving up the worldly things and taking up the cross of Jesus Christ and walking the narrow road, there’s temptation on the way and requires perseverance but there is joy and victory at the end, the narrow road leads us to joy and happiness and the joy and hope we find by walking the narrow road is immeasurable. It is easy to walk the broad road, it’s free way and every thing seems so good, there’s enjoyment and pleasures but at the end there’s hopelessness, lost, life is measurable, dissatisfaction and anger takes you over. I am blessed by this testimony, May God bless you and give you wisdom and strength.

Same, i don't understand what's so hard ... I mean, what God gives you is more than what the world has... His love, his greatness, when you are filled with the lord it's the biggest joy, i don't get why anyone would want to risk that when we already know the ending, even if being a christian was the hardest thing (that it isn't) between choosing to be happy for a little time and in agony forever, or being sad for a little while and overall live happy forever, i would with no doubt choose the second one... Nothings wrong with being bi i don't understand why people believe the bible originally wanted LGBTQ to be punished . That's an idea from the bible created by homophobic Christians who think they have the right to judge people based on their sexuality and the people they're attracted to . I'm happy that I've learn not all Christians have negative , homophobic, bi phobic and transphobic ideas about LGBTQ+ . Forcing people to leave their church for their sexuality or thinking telling lgbtq+ they'll burn in hell for eternity will make them fake being heterosexual and start believing in christianity or telling them they're committing a sin and being LGBTQ+ is harmful depressing and suicidal isn't a very appropriate and positive thing to say to them i dont care what you say but that is homophobic and isnt at all accepting you should be ashamed to say horrible and disgusting things . This makes people hate Christians and make negative assumptions about them . Some will complain about not being liked while saying things that can clearly offend groups of people educate yourself on the history of homosexuality in the bible to then see it's not an actual sin and in fact it was added by a homophobic Christian and I'm happy that i now know not to make assumptions or say things about the religion out of anger because not all Christians say things like this .

In fact why are you even here listening to this video of a woman following 'a magic book' Textual variants of spelling and grammar mistakes do not change the message of the bible and books in the bible where based on Israel's actual history. Every historian agrees that Jesus existed and he died. The argument is on the resurrection and yet the eyewitness testimonies and the change in the behaviour of the followers and brothers of Jesus are evidence for the resurrection. @@dazza8551 I think possibly Emily's comment was exactly what she said. (Please) "be mindful" of your choice of verbiage when referring to a full grown "adult". Culturally, I find it offensive to call "grown men" boys and/or "grown women" girls. History has proven (as well as my personal experience) that some people intentionally reference grown people of color as "boy or girl" as an insult or form of superiority. I don't know you, and I can't hear your tone through text, so I believe that is why the original comment was made to "be mindful". If I'm hurting my sister or brother in Christ I would want to know, so I can make a conscious effort to adjust appropriately. Now back to the interview at hand, this young woman is extremely insightful and wise. @P Last Name As said the Pharisees who killed Jesus because He healed on the Sabbath. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ and you walk after the Holy Spirit, you are not under the Law, but under grace. We are saved by Grace, not by keeping the law. We pray for the Holy Spirit to enlighten our understanding, so that we may fully understand the Scriptures and understand God's will for us in Christ Jesus. It is He who saves us and not we ourselves. God bless you.
@s.journey88693 жыл бұрын
@P Last Name I'm sorry you feel that way. All I can say is that Jesus is way more loving than any of us humans, even with all our good intentions. But He is also One with God. So if you say that we have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and we ask Him to reveal in our lives anything we ARE that is contrary to the will of God, He will do just that. He will reveal EVERYTHING. But only if we seek Him in Spirit and in truth. In John 8, the mob wanted to stone the woman who was caught in adultery. Jesus said to them " he who is without sin, let him cast the first stone". Jesus then said to her "where are your accusers? Has no one condemned thee?" To which she replied "No, Lord." Then Jesus said "Neither do I condemn thee. Go and sin no more". See the love that Jesus showed for the sinner, yet, he did not condone the sin. That is what a true follower of Christ does, because we are all imperfect in one way or another. We don't condemn the person. We love. We treat others as we want to be treated. But we also seek Jesus Himself so that He can reveal to us what is sinful within us, and we now have to be willing to turn from that sin.. and the GREAT news is, the Holy Spirit of God helps us to do so. That is why she said "don't seek heterosexuality; seek Jesus" and He will reveal within us all that needs to go. That's all I'm saying. Love you with the love of the Lord. Stay blessed.

I’m pretty late but as a non-religious lesbian, I completely agree with you. If someone who’s attracted to the same gender chooses to not act on their feelings due to their religious beliefs, that’s fine and that should be respected as long as they’re not pushing other people to do the same as them.

I'm a devout Christian with SSA. Just once, I want to hear the testimony of someone that wasn't living a drug laced. promiscious lifestyle, but was still able to get out of the homosexual lifestyle. Although I never acted on my SSA, I really want to. I feel like the reason for this is that I might be the only SSA Christian that has never lived a wild lifestyle , so my curiosity is just going wild. Are there any of you out there?

Also check out the Latter Day Lesbian Podcast, it's hosted by a lesbian couple, Shelly is an ex-morman who had about 7 kids, & Mary had a catholic upbringing. It really helped me to hear how much strength she had to question everything, especially after being in a long marriage with extremely religious parents.

Same boat. I've been battling SSA since my preteens but never acted on it. Don't drink, never done drugs, or even stepped foot in a nightclub. I'm 27 now and am still a virgin. There are women that have tried to pursue me but I always had a bad feeling about it and ceased all contact before anything ever happened. I know now it's been the Holy Spirit shielding me from evil. I know there are times the urges can be intense, especially because so many men act in a way that makes me not want to deal with them at all, but the more you seek Christ the easier it'll be to resist any SSA urges. Christ will deliver you. Hang in there! 🙏🙏🙏

Studying in an exclusive all girls' school (and Catholic) opened me to the doors of SSA. Never acted on it, but the struggle is real. Thankfully I now realize I prefer men. I avoided situations wherein it will open me up to such.
@lolarayes58452 жыл бұрын
@@user-jv2wc1xh6o Thank you for sharing. However, that doesn't really relate to the comment that I made. Also, it doesn't really help those of us who have always felt SSA regardless of attending all girl or all boy schools. I know you are trying to be helpful, but all this comment did was tell us that attending an all girl school opened up same-sex curiosity, but that now that you are equally exposed to men and women, you realize that men are more your type and that the SSA was just a curious phase caused by hyperfeminine environments.

@sweet home alabama thank you, this just made my night. As the lesbian girl I feel like, God won't accept me for who I am. I've tried to find it in the Bible, I don't see anywhere where it says man can't be with man and woman can't be with woman. In the Bible God never talked about same-sex relationships, he just talked about man with woman and woman with man. He never said you can't be with men with men and woman with woman. There is a huge chance that fifty 50% of us will go to hell and 50 50% of us will go to heaven. I don't know what to do, I am in love with the Trans teenager, and I don't know if God loves me anymore. So I just want someone to tell me, they love me for me.

She isn't repressing anything. She's choosing to live by a higher spiritual principle. I was bisexual, and spending time in the presence of God, getting to know Him as my Father and knowing it wasn't his intent for my life completely obliterared my same-sex attraction. On our own, in our humanity, we cannot say no to our sinful natures and desires. We can only turn away from it when our spirit comes alive again because we are born spiritually dead and cut off from God. Our human nature is warped, the image of God in us has been damaged. As Christians we cannot call good bad in good conscience. Those of you who judge this woman for choosing Christ do so because you don't and can't understand until you make that same choice. I came to faith in a similar fashion, in the privacy of my room. Nobody preached to or at me, God Himself invaded my life with His love.
@ML-ov7wo2 жыл бұрын
Amen! God opened my eyes. He was the one that made me realize I need to stop living that way. God created us to be in fellowship with him. He’s merciful when we acknowledge our sin, but we can’t fellowship with him when we refuse to stop sinning. It’s not easy, especially today with the world forcing this on us, but God is greater

As a child, I always knew that I was attracted only to the opposite gender, and that because I was repulsed at the thought of having a relationship with a female, that those who were so inclined were born different. Having spent 70 years in religion, I am thankful that I never bought in to the story that a god was offended by homosexuality. You might, or might not, relate to the following words that I wrote November 4, 2020 … “They said I was an old soul …They said I was a kind soul …They said I had a fool’s soul …They said I was a lonely soul … They said I was a lost soul … They said I was a wicked soul … They said I had an evil soul. They never once said that I had a saved soul … and when I asked them why … They told me that that was only for God to decide … as they were not supposed to judge.”

Theres alot of comments saying being gay is a sin, now i dont really agree with that. I would really like someone with a religion to tell me why they think that you should’nt be gay. If there is a god, he created us, so why would he create us this way while he doesn’t respect it? If god is a good person, why will he judge someone based on their sexuality/ gender. Its something you can’t choose and if you could choose it, why would you? Please comment tour opinions, im very interested. Please dont mind my spelling, i am not native Thank you.

Hey love, I was also a lesbian. God made all of us in His image, which is perfect. BUT thanks to satan sin has ruined all of our perfection. So we all are born w an imperfection. Ours was just our attraction to the same sex. And it's not a sin to have those attractions. But it is a sin to choose to go act on them. I know neither of us choose to like women, but we did choose to start having sex w them ya know. That's an issue. It's an issue for a straight couple to be having sex tii before marriage. God made man and women to have sex in a marriage. Anything that's outside of that is a sin. (When it comes to sexual sin) I hope that helped. Lmk if you have more questions
