This whole situation was insanely sketchy for a 14 year old to be in.... they didn't even have a proper camera? REALLY?
@shaelynnoel83123 ай бұрын
Meh- at that time iPhones were making better cameras than what most ppl could afford. I hate it too but society has normalized this over time…leaving a lot of the real photographers out there hung out to dry. Foul👎🏼

It's because of the vibe they went for. Also the location. It doesn't look like a shoot it looks like some friend took picture of a pretty girl. That's the vibe they went for I guess

its very normal for brandy. thats kind of the aesthetic they want. its supposed to be rly laid back and casual to appeal to teens. even their shoots today on their website r shot on iphones on the street

fun fact! the brand is owned by a creepy old man who sends clothes to teenage girls and asked for photos of them everyday, if he does not like how the clothes look on they’re body he fires them! they are also not inclusive to sizes (hints the one size fits all). there’s a documentary on it for anyone wondering

I’ve been to brandy melleville only once, the clothes in there fit my body type and they were fine for me but you can tell they are deliberately being exclusive towards big people have everything one size hints that they are trying to point out the ideal size by having everything one size

There are plus size only stores so it's okay to have a store for skinny people only. We need clothes that fit us too.

@@taiyabazaheer9492 1. If anyone needs more clothes, it is not skinny people. It's plus sized folk. 2. It's pretty much well known they dont do this for accesibility or having skinny people in mind out of kindness or anything like that. They create a "us" (skinny, white, blond) and "them" (anything else) mentality in order to control, manipulate and exploit young girls who fit in the profile they want. Theres a very interesting documentary about this brand, its horrible.
@itto_potatoАй бұрын
@@taiyabazaheer9492I would welcome more size options for skinny people, but that’s unfortunately not what this store does. By only having things in one size, they are not giving you options, they are literally telling you to be one particular size, not any bigger or smaller. It’s a way to marginalise anyone who doesn’t fit the ideal.
@randomhooman_129 күн бұрын
im kind of towards the skinnier side, or at least most supposedly "tight tops" in other stores are loose on me, and brandy melville really fixes that problem :)) skinny ppl deserve to have cute clothes too!
