Hi Ashley, great work as usual, very professional and it tells..... We all know a certain ethnic group is responsible for those shody driveways and roof cleaning jobs like you just showed using a turbo nozzle, they will absolutely destroy ones property anď charge an arm and a leg but only after telling the home owner it will be £££ boss but in reality it will be £££s and £££s or even bump it up to ££££s.... We are overrun here in Ireland with them constantly out looki g and calling in to our houses...... I'm very hopeful to get set up in this new year when I'm in better health and have lost weight, doing well so far down 23kg just another good chunk to go

Thanks. I think there are a lot of people buying pressure washers and having a go without really knowing a lot about what they’re doing. Which is what I did I suppose. But you can cause some serious damage if you get it wrong. That’s partly why I have setup online training courses, to share my experience and help others.👍🏼

Facts !!! And u cant even argue the facts!!!. I was 16 years old cleaning roof!! 3o years ago .. and this mush is telling people how and why and blaming the people that taught him.. . Love to bumb into u 1 day !

Ash you need to get a foot pedal for your conversion. It makes cleaning the roof even easier.

@@aemackintosh I tried with the handle on the pole and found I was constantly having to re adjust my grip and it was hard on the wrists. The foot pedal made the pole easier for me to manoeuvre especially on the tower. I didn’t realise you had tried one that’s why I suggested it 👍

I find it easier to control the pole with a handle on it. The foot trigger means I end up keeping my feet still and twisting my back. Not great. But everyone is different I suppose.

I have a very established window cleaning buisness and I get the occasional roof job but I'd really like to branch out and have a steady flow of them. Any advice would be amazing. Thanks!!

How you present your business (branding), how you handle marketing, and sales are all going to have an effect on the amount of work you bring in. There is more help in my training courses. 😜👍🏼

Great videos, I have found your channel very useful while starting my business. Still early days for me yet. I’ve started cleaning roofs last year by using a scrapper and wire brush. I cleaned out the gutters for a customer who had their roof cleaned, and the company left the gutters full. So yes, there are people out there who only do half a job.

Hi bud. Do you do a pre clean survey/inspection or have a broken tile waiver in place? How do you prevent a roof leak from coming back on you? Would love to know as have had a bad experience recently. Many thanks

I have to say that I’ve never had any issues like this with the method I use. I’ve never asked a customer to sign anything like that, kind of feels like a good way to raise suspicion that damage is likely, when I have never caused any damage.

It was doing a roof that hadnt been tpuched in 20 years. The pointing was failing and some tiles that had broken, slid to the gutter when i cleaned the moss holding it in place. I ended up paying for replacement tiles and roofer. Just wondered how you avoided circumstances like that cos they really injur the old wallet and confidence a bit. Many thanks

I try to anticipate any issues and talk it through with the customer so I know we’re on the same page. I never CAUSE any damage but it’s not uncommon to uncover EXISTING damage caused my the moss and water over time. Older roofs can have more issues if neglected for a long time. Take it as experience and keep going on to the next one.😉👍🏼

It’s a pole I’ve had made bespoke, especially for roof cleaning. Any hi-mod carbon fibre pole will do though.

what do you use to apply the biocide and what do you do about the run off? thanks

I use a pump setup with a bush that has fan jets. You can disconnect the gutter down pipe to prevent any run off going down the drain. But if the biocide is thick enough and you start application from the bottom working up the roof, there should be little to no run off.
