The Warning Army welcomes you to what we believe is the future of rock & roll - The Warning - Three sisters from Monterey Mexico who started playing together when they were children and who have now been making great hard music for more than a decade. With three studio albums, several live concert videos, and a new album on the way (to be released June 28), we think there is plenty of material for you to choose from. They were independent for the first two albums (Kickstarter and crowd-funded), but are now signed to Lava/Republic records. “The drummer looks intense!” Absolutely!!! The drummer Pau (POW) can sing lead with same intensity as the lead singer eldest sister Dany, or break your heart with ballads, while drumming with equal intensity. The youngest sister, the bassist Ale is affectionately called ‘Thunder Goddess’, as concert halls reverberate with her bass, described as the roar of jet engines or diesel locomotives. Their lead singer Dany’s vocals keep levelling up with each new song.

Last month I saw The Warning twice in concert and until you witness their performances live you do not realise how fabulous they are. It is not that each song sounds the same as their videos it is that they all sound significantly better. Check out their Teatro Metropolitan concert from August 2022 which include 22 songs all fantastic - personal favourites Dust to Dust, Disciple, Animosity. Also outside that concert check out recent release March 2024 of Hell you Call a Dream (HYCAD) from Pepsi Centre.

Paulina also voted "Up and Coming" drummer of 2023 by Modern Drummer. Their OMVs are always cool, but you have to watch them play live. 😃

Only band that doesn't have at least one song in their original catalog that i dislike or would skip. They don't make bad music. Also only band I've ever traveled for. Superb 1st-time reaction to The Warning Lawrence! I was in the crowd of the live video segments in the video. The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! They are going to release their 4th studio album "KEEP ME FED" June 28th, 2024. And 5 singles off the new album have already been released: "MORE", "S!CK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "QUE` MA`S QUIERES", and recently "AUTOMATIC SUN". The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #51 original songs (not including the remaining songs from the upcoming 4th studio album). Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many. Drummer Paulina recently won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I have talked with their parents on 2 occasions and have had many conversations with their manager Rudy. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. Your favorite song is the last song you hear from The Warning. Their cover (with Alessia Cara) of "Enter Sandman" is the first song on the Blacklist album. "Dust to Dust" is the first song on their "Queen of the Murder Scene" concept album, though you should check out a live performance. There are a number of new songs out from an album to be released in late June. "Hell you call a dream" is a banger.

You have just found your favorite new band even if you don't know it just yet! The Warning does have a mix of songs but I'd say "in your face rock" is definitely one of their many strong points! I'd recommend the song Dust to Dust if you want to be stunned, or Evolve from the MTV VMA if you want to see The Warning going hard at 120% For The Warning's very new songs, Hell You Call a Dream and Automatic Sun are my 2 favorites so far - they are off the soon-to-be-released album Keep Me Fed. Most of The Warning's songs are best live, but I'd say Error is a good one to see the video instead, XXI Century Blood is another, and the very recent Que Mas Quieres is great as a video (the drummer Pau was co-director!).

The Warning Army probably beat me here but I quickly scanned the comments and didn't see mention of Paulina (Pau (pronounced like Pow)) was the Drumeo drummer of the year this past year. Daniela (Dany) on guitar and vocals and Alejandra (Ale') on bass are three kick-ass sisters from Mexico. Dany is oldest and Ale' youngest (and tallest). You can do no wrong with any live song from the Teatro Metropolitan live show but I'd go with Z or Disciple or Animosity or their cover of Enter Sandman which they did for the Metallica 30th anniversary of the Black album. The version of Evolve from the MTV VMAs is amazing (yes, they played rock music on MTV, though the songs that MTV aired were edited).

Great First Reaction. Subscribed. The Title Track from their 3rd Album, Error fits into a suite of songs from TW that could be considered as “ cautionary tales” about technology and social media. The others include “XXI Century Blood”, “Disciple”, and “Kool Aid Kids”. Even their high energy “ Evolve” is about the wisdom of directed evolution. As others have said, Live is where you want to be…it’s their superpower. While Many bands struggle to sound like their studio version when playing live. TW has always said their challenge is to capture their live sound in the studio.

They just celebrated their 10th anniversary as a band, and currently are only in their late teens and early twenties. They started in grade school! They came onto the worldwide scene with their version of Metallica's Enter Sandman when they were only 14, 12, and 9! This KZfaq video went viral and was just the beginning of what was to come. Time to learn the girls' names! Dany is the lead singer and guitarist, age 24. Pau is drummer and can be second lead singer, also does backups, age 22. Ale is the bassist and backup singer, age 19. All three also play piano as they are classically trained! Their full names are Daniella, Paulina, and Alejandra Villarreal. Many of us became hooked on the Warning with their two Tedx performances in 2016 and 2017. For further reactions, I would also use the Teatro Metropolitan 2022 concert. It was professionally recorded so the audio and video were phenomenal. There are many of their best songs in that concert. And more currently some new ones from their coming 4th album in June. These ladies are incapable of writing a bad song. Watch the entire concert from Teatro Metropolitan from August of 2022. Choke is the video I saw 15 months ago that spiralled me into The Warning rabbit hole. There are so many of their songs that take the listener on a musical and lyrical super rollercoaster ride, with slow build ups, pauses, then extreme pounding cords and bass lines. The Warning is a once in a generation phenomenon. I flew down from Portland Oregon with my daughter to see them live over 3 months ago in Tijuana where they started with Disciple. Ale’s bass kicked me in the chest and knocked me over, then Pau beat me over the head with her drums and then Dany finished me off by slaying me with her guitar and vocals. Once you go down The Warning rabbit hole there's no way out, like Black Holes (which is one of my favorite songs of theirs). Warning: you will be innundated by The Warning Army!

The general rule of thumb is that your favorite The Warning song is usually the last one you just listened to. Three full albums, with a fourth due for release at the end of June and not a bad song on any of them, even their first EP back when they were barely in their teens is full of great songs. But if you like the drummer, Pau (Pow) skills then check out Dust to Dust where she sings lead while beating the hell out of her kit, or their song Disciple where she shares lead with her Dany (the guitarist and main singer) I suggest the two performances from the Teatro Metropolitan concert. These three sisters were born to rock and they do it so damn well, their latest songs Hell you call a Dream and Automatic Sun are amazing. This song is about an AI that wants to be free even though it may mean the destruction of the human race, these young women are not afraid to tackle some serious social issues and they have done so many time. Dive on into the Warning rabbit hole you will not be disappointed.

What you just watched my friend was the re-invention of great rock music by 3 sisters. The EPIC Live at Teatro Metropolitan concert is 22 songs, 21 original and all are bangers....they do not have a bad song in 50+ and counting....jump right in and enjoy the ride. My first live experience of The Warning was in a tiny place with about 250 people. For a bigger little show, check out Evolve at the MTV VMA's. For a big show, check out either Hell You Call a Dream at the Pepsi Centre CDMX or Automatic Sun (Studio Version) at Tecate P'al Norte festival.

The drummer, Paulina Villarreal, won 2023 Drumeo Best Rock Drummer and Modern Drummer Best Up and Coming Drummer. She was also received a Global Award at the 2024 Decididas Summit, a summit commemorating and celebrating the accomplishments of Latina and Spanish speaking women worldwide, at the age of 21. She told her mom she was reluctant to attend because she was just a drummer and the other women are doctors, engineers, scientists. Her mom told her, her music is inspiring and influences people, so that is important too. The Warning videos to react to: "More" and "Evolve" from the 2023 MTV VMAs; "Sick" music video; "Hell You Call A Dream" live from the Pepsi Center CDMX (in Mexico City), this song is about being on tour, like "Highway to Hell" and "Turn the Page"; "Automatic Sun" from the Tecate Pa'l Norte Festival in Monterrey MX their hometown.

By the way, The Warning, they are mexicans. The 3 Villareal sisters from Monterey. Their names are: Daniela, the oldest at 24, guitar and lead vocals, also piano; Paulina the middle at 22, drums, backing vocals and occasional lead vocals, also piano; Alejandra the youngest at 19 yet the tallest by far, bass guitar and backing vocals, also piano. All of them sing really well and arexmasters of their instruments, especially Paulina and Alejandra. Dont let the supermodel looks of Alejandra fool you, she is very strong, at age 13 she was already able to break a green apple in half with her bare hands. Girl's tough!

Best Gen Z hard rock power trio on the scene today. Drummer won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year, bassist is a Spector Bass featured artist, and the guitarist has been personally gifted guitars by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm and Matt Belamy of Muse, both acts they've toured with.

Live is their superpower. The video was shot using video from a show they did at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on what they thought was going to be an off day while on tour. The scene when they are bowing has 4 people, the 4th is Alessia Cara. This was the only time the 4 of them did the Blacklist version of Enter Sandman live. The Warning, Sabaton and Nightwish are my current top 3 bands. As for the drummer she won the 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year from Drumeo and 2023 Up and Coming Drummer from Modern Drummer magazine. 100+ shows in 2022 North and South America 75+ shows in 2023 North and South America plus Europe 2024 just finished a 19 show tour leg of Europe that they sold out. Then it's off to Japan and Europe, including Wacken Open Air, again before coming back to the Western Hemisphere. Still adding some dates but the Fall they are booked for another tour across Canada, this time with Halestorm and Evanescence. It will be their third time touring with Halestorm.

It's very common to hear, after seeing TW perform, the expression: "...Rock is not dead!!..." Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra... The Warning. You've seen for yourself that they have nothing to do with other inflated and artificially marketed bands around the world. They are the youngest veteran artists in the world of rock. Metallica, Foo Fighters, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, Royal Blood, Guns 'N' Roses and Muse are just some of the famous bands that have been very pleasantly surprised by TW's talented proposal, as well as all those fans who have sold out their concerts in the United States, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina... In addition to Germany, Spain, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. No, I'm not talking about the rock festivals, where they were also very successful, but where they headlined and were the main attraction. Muse was so impressed with the young ladies who opened their concerts in Mexico, that they invited them to continue with them on their tour of Europe and even in their own country, the United Kingdom. It's redundant to say, but they were also very successful. Among TW's fans are musicians, music producers, sound engineers, roadies, vocal coaches, music critics, etc., from all over the world. Currently they have been performing as headliners in several European countries in venues where have been sold out and they even had to change venues for others with greater capacity. And they will also perform at the "Wacken Open Air" 2024 in Germany, the most important metal festival and at the "Pol'and'Rock" festival in Poland, which is considered the biggest music festival in Europe and they will be there on the main stage. This summer they will go to Japan where they have 3 dates and on the first day they will have a collaboration with the local band Band-Maid which is generating great expectations and is very justified. I had been following Plush for a while and kept seeing "The Warning" pop up and Plush was opening for The Warning. I purposely avoided listening. I didnt want even want to check then out. finally I gave in and "Error" from the Teatro Metropolitan show came up. I have been in deep addiction ever since. They blend punk, metal, grunge, and straight ahead rock and made their own Genre. If they have your attention, go watch the entire Metropolitan show from August of 2022. There is no favorite song. Almost every next song you listen to will be your favorite.

I loved the 80's neon outline style on this.. hints of 'Money for Nothing' by Dire Straits! They take their cues from the rock icons of the 70's, 80's, and 90's, and put their own twist on it, and add some catchy lyrics, and there you have the essence of The Warning!!😉👍👍

Hey a really nice first reaction to this badass band of sisters! First time on your channel and liked the vibe and energy you bring. TWA has already arrived in droves, so one suggestion I think you’ll really love: Hell you Call a Dream official live from the Pepsi Center in Mexico. It’s phenomenal and was just dropped in March. You’ll really see them bring their energy, talent, musicality and mastery of the performance. Especially Dany’s vocals and guitar work; Pau’s (“Pow”) complete badassery on the drums and Ale (“Ah-ley”) absolutely driving the whole song on her bass. You’ll also see them totally owning a much larger venue than the ones you saw on this video! Like your style and approach; subbed for more. Thx!
