Def. Someone I know had a burnout, basically overstressed and overworked for way too long, and at one point his body reacted to the amount of stress that had built up. He literally couldn't move his legs anymore; temporary paralysis. Stress can do the craziest things.
@BTinSF17 күн бұрын
Not at all unusual. There's a nerve, the vagus nerve, that goes straight from your brain to your upper digestive tract (esophagus, stomach etc). Mental stress causes that nerve to trigger increased acid production in the stomach which is painful as it burns the stomach and possibly the esophageal lining. Stress was infamously seen as the cause of ulcers years ago although we've more recently learned it's more complex than that (there's a bacteria, Helicobacter pylori involved also and so on). But these days we have medications that can directly interrupt the production of excess stomach acid. I wonder if he was ever given any of those--I would be surprised if not.
@amalbouali229516 күн бұрын

Not always true. But it makes me laugh that Americans have to be negative about anything if it’s in America and one person who’s not American might had a bad experience from something or someone. Then I see comments from Americans bashing and hating on their own country, making excuses, agreeing when the American person hasn’t met all the doctors and a lot of the doctors are not American! I had a couple different doctors I once had, were from India. And also, the doctors have to go by company rules and regulations. I’ve been lucky to have the right doctor for several years. If I need to see a specialist, he sends me to the right doctor. It’s like Americans have to apologize to people from other countries as if their own country is perfect, not one bit. Lol

Oh, Raphy. As somebody who deals with chronic gastritis since years, I totally am able to relate, though luckily it never incapacitated me for longer than 2 weeks at a time and never with soo much pain. Even as you started telling your doctor journey, I thought hopefully come to Europe. I am German and we are so spoiled with our health system here compared to so many other countries in the world. Remember, you are only human, take care of yourself, spoil yourself, take your time to unwind and relax. There is no need to stress yourself into burn outs. I am pretty sure that most if not all your followers agree, that you only need to do what you are able to do. We will be happy with everything you could throw at us, even if it is just a 2 min unedited lifesign, when you just talk about whatever comes to your mind. There is no need to script and film to perfection, as we know is what your mind is telling you to do. Take it easy! Your wellbeing comes first. We love you and wish you to get well soon. @@JimboJones99 the covid vaccine has caused so many less issues than covid itself. Issues with long covid, POTS, FND, and many more have occurred due to having covid. The vaccine has prevented so many deaths and so many cases of these secondary conditions. Stop fear mongering and spreading false antivax info

Hi Raphael. I'm sorry you're going through so much with your health. Reflux and stomach pain can be hard. You might ask your doctors about Gaviscon Double Action. It's not available in the United States. You have to order it online. But sometimes it helps people with these symptoms. I go to a special clinic at a teaching hospital for digestive disorders, and they recommended it to me. They said it helps a lot of people. Another one they said often helps is called Reflux Gourmet. It's another one that must be bought online. Both medications are not prescription medicines. They are specialized antacids that you could buy in a pharmacy if they were available, but they work in different ways than the antacid pills and medications which are commonly available. For some people, they work really well. One way or another, I hope you feel much better soon.

Gaviscon is only to help with symptoms but not target the actual issue. But at least it’s better than taking those pills the gastroenterology department likes to give everyone

A relative of mine has bad reflux so I looked it up from the US. Both products are available on Amazon! I’m gonna get some for them to try. Thanks for the info! 😁

And a dietitian can give advice on food/drinking habits, which will not fix the problem but it’s always good to find ways to be gentle with the body food wise.

Im in Germany and ive been sick for 1 year, it started with a pain behind my back and led to my whole body feeling very weak and so much pain, i ve been going to doctors yet they just discovered i have autoimmune disease, but before that most of times felt very neglected as sometimes they didnt even check me at all , or they sent me home and i ended up with a severe depression, in mental hospital,im still looking what's going on because they still didn't find yet exactly what it is. So sadly i really understand you and sometimes i really wish i could afford to go home and get checked literally. I think over 1 year i was all right 1 month and half, and most of time i was jobless because I couldn't function.

Similar thing happened to me. A therapist I was sent to actually called my insurance company and told them "this person is not depressed, they have an autoimmune disease." Everything is summed up as depression.

Thank you for sharing the updates so openly. It's greatly appreciated and comes at just the right time. It seems your body is taking 'burnout' very literally 🙃. We all need to prioritize our well-being; only then can we bring our best possible selves forward (not perfect selves - I learnt it in a hard way) Take care, and here's to a speedy recovery. 💛🩵

H.pylori is so easy to see in gastroscopy. I don't think it is H.pylori. I think it's stress enduced gastritis
