Perplexing decision to compete so directly with the $70 Vision FG. Will be a tough sell at $250. MC blade and aluminum scales are nice upgrades, but civivi will roll out premium FGs at $150 soon enough.

Doesn't matter to some, they'll still sell. Some people don't want knives from China, regardless of quality.

@@PrettyGoodShot No doubt. And given the big marketing push, I’m sure tactile fanboys will buy out the first drop. But if this only sells to TKC fanboys and “USA-only” types, it’ll be short lived model, with TKC taking a big loss on it.

I've been looking at picking up a Vision for the lock, but this is a fine looking alternative. I DEFINITELY prefer this steel, and 'Murica? Sign me up. I am not, however, a fan of aluminum scales. I will be checking this puppy out, and looking forward to some scale choices.

I was hoping Civivi would make a Magnacut Vision, but instead they released their Knife Center Exclusive S35VN version. So, while it does look a little plain to me as is, I’m very excited to see Tactile using Snecx’s Superlock, and I hope even more companies will follow suit, too! 😙

Magnacut with a good hrc, very good fit and finish, small batch fully USA made. Really not a terrible price at all considering. Not great but not horrible either.

Rockstead is selling aluminium knives for 1-2k. If the finish on the scales is well made they should hold up better and cleaner than most titanium knives.

@DingoOG never heard of rockstead so I looked them up. Holy cow they be to expensive for me but damn nice looking knives. Maybe some day. I anodize titanium so I prefer it. Hope to do aluminum sometime. OG has some great looking scales and hopefully they will expand the model lineup.

I got the we vision during Christmas sale for 25% off so like low 200s, (230?) with discount. Titanium handle and 20 cv blade for less with the Snecx lock. This locking mechanism looks more robust and more fidgety though. Plus that snecx lock on the WE can hurt the tip of my finger after too much use. I like this. I think this will be my first tactile knife in my collection. (When I can afford it). Why’d they have to release this when Null was dropping a batch of Raikous?!

The hurt finger is just a snecx lock thing...this one is very much the same. If not a little more comfy. But after an hour or two of constant fidgeting, you'll feel it in the finger tips.

Unfortunately they designed a pretty questionable pocket clip because any clip that has curves and isn't symmetrical can really make the aspect of an ambidextrous knife pointless. This functionality and design choice (or lack there of) in particular makes it even more confusing because Tactile isn't a Chinese OEM that can push out infinity knives, and honestly them not catering to their lefty customer base when they're a smaller manufacturing shop to begin with, seems like a recipe for disaster. I mean, they're seriously about to drop a knife with the super-lock and whose pocket clip only has right handed people in mind on an otherwise completely ambi-functional knife😂🤷‍♂

@@wes.killed.it.5511 they could always ship it with a left handed clip ie: cold steel ad10. And obviously drill it for left handed mounting +filler tab if aesthetics are an issue.

I got mine today and my initial impressions of the knife is that it's heavy and the lock is a fail. The aluminum scales and steel liners are weighty, but the heft feels good in the hand and the ergonomics are wonderful. The ergos might not be right for everybody, but they're just right for my smaller hands. Now for the lock.... I'm so disappointed. I've never handles the Vision R, but I'm a fan of the Snecx lock on the Vision F. The ledge angle and the light jimping on the lock make it slick and difficult to open and close one handed with just the lock. I was hoping this knife would compete with my Demko AD20.5 and it doesn't Also, a 10% restoking fee almost seems like an attempt to deter people from returning products they knew people were going to be disappointed with. I'm sadden to say this one disappointed me.

Does anyone else find the lock to be extremely stiff? No one seems to be talking about it but mine takes a lot of pressure to release the lock. Fatigues my finger quickly. At least twice as heavy a spring as my Demko.

I see a lot of comments on here comparing this to the Civivi Vision and calling it an upgrade. The upgrade to the Vision is the Vision R, not this knife. Not only that, if you are a vision R fan this has almost no relation to the original custom vision at all. This is really a completely new knife, with a similar lock and a blade that looks "a little bit" like the vision. Im guessing the goal here was to design a knife that was mostly different from his other designs while still being distantly recognazable as a Snecx.

their second ambi lock (after the mav) and still no left handed carry. I get that Tactile's aesthetic is minimalism and for that I like their designs but this knife is functionally useless for left handed carry.
