Hi, Joel! My name is also Joel, and I also have a M240i. Have had it for four years now (2017 model) and never tire of driving it. Mine has a Dinan Stage 1 tune, CAI and midpipe. It hauls ass! You made a fine choice - I'll be owning mine for a very, very long time as I think it's one of the greatest performance bargains, for what you're getting, in the market now. Cheers, mate!

A week ago when you asked us to suggest what your new car might be I guessed it would be one of these. Well either this or a classic Reliant Robin, but I think that maybe the mighty 850cc three wheeler was probably too much for you to handle so you went for the M240i. Good choice, enjoy! 👍

Crazy amount of horsepower in modern cars. back in the 90's, 160bhp was classed as a hot hatch. in the 2000's it was 200 bhp. now its madness. I would lose my license :) . Nice car mate.

Swap out that silver interior trim with the M Performance Carbon Fiber and Alcantara trim package. Don’t forget the steering wheel trim piece, the gear shift and surround piece and the e brake. 👍🏼

Looks a nice example! Definitely needs the MP Diffuser though. I fitted one on my 235i yesterday and it makes a massive difference.

You can’t go wrong with that boasted power, the Z4 is sports car with NA and completely different to this performance Coupe for a more contemporary drive. I have one and after owning ford escort cosworth r/s escorts st focuses and r/s focus I changed to bmw to give me a buzz starting low 335i m sport tried m3 and m5 also Audi rs5 but one day walked into bmw dealership as I saw a new m240i as I walked out the door speaking about m 3 a sales woman who was passing said don’t bother that m240i is quicker all round It was I bought it never looked back had 5 years now and still pissing m3 drivers off its quick but keep good tyres on it. Pilot SUPER spot

Get a aftermarket exhaust my suggestion is active exhaust. This thing really opens up and sounds amazing with it. I have a 2019 m240i x drive. Mines got a financial exhaust system on it. Amazing daily

Great car mate,and nice colour choice too,get yourself a quicksilver exhaust and an airbox and top quality stage 2 remap,and you will surprise yourself, sadly the suspension will need upgrading which will include the diff,but hey,its only my suggestion,look forward to your interpretation, good luck mate....

Good choice, I prefer the m240 over the m140 as I've always been a big fan of coupés. The B58 is a good engine too, lots of potential, same engine as the GR Supra 👌🏻

Amazing spec although having driven an m140i with adaptive, I had to get one with adaptive with mine. Look forward to mods in the future, subbed🤝

Only thing that I don't agree with, it's the electric seats. This is more of a sports car rather than a luxury one. I think I would go for manual seats and spare a 50-60 kg (i think?) off the weight of the car. I mean, I'm not adjusting my seats every day. And I reckon the most expensive thing to do to a car, is to make it lighter.

I like it. Its a spec i would choose bar red seats. Love the wheels.

Go for a centrepipe resonator delete, that way you keep the valves in the back box esc...

Personally i'd pick adaptive suspension over electric seats especially if you dont plan on doing suspension mods

Well done mate, good choice of car! Spec looks decent. I had an e85 Z4 exactly like your old one and they're not easy cars to replace, they're a fine balance between raw and refined. You do look slightly underwhelmed with it tbh, with newer cars come better sound proofing etc which does detract from the fun, but I have no doubt it'll have a shouty pipe on it in no time, you'll adjust to the differences to the Z4 and inevitably become a fan of the modern creature comforts!

I also have a 2series f22 and a z4 e85 and love them both.

Nice spec! Your electric seats have lumbar support (4-way switch) which can make your lower back hurt after a while as your back will not be used to it. Play around with it and you will get used to it

You're right about the electric seats, my 330ci has it and pretty much all do. So when looking for a 235i I wanted the electric seats still and it's very difficult to find
