that was probably the reason they began 1.17 in the first place, then realized that they'd need more time to implement all they wanted to, hence why we have 1.18 in progress and 1.19 in the future.

Exactly! I dont leave my worlds behind that often, but i do eventually get kinda bored of going through the same landscape over and over and over again while exploring, but this update makes everything a lot more interesting and just visually appealing without really adding new content to the surface biomes themselves! Real explanation: Cheese caves - the massive caves. They are named after the way they generate. Since noise caves use a noise map, the devs noted that the large caves made their maps of cave generation look like Swiss cheese. Spaghetti caves - semi large caves that are long and just a little bit twisty, often taking you a couple hundred blocks from where you begin following them. Noodle caves - fairly long but very thin and cramped, often connected with other caves. Originally called “mesh” caves but renamed to fit with the pasta naming scheme. When asked why they decided on such a naming scheme, a dev said “dunno, we must have been hungry or something.” Another note: the old type of cave is still around as well! They have been dubbed “carver” caves.

@edgepixel8467

I'm skeptical about the diagnosis of ADHD. Doctors seem a bit too trigger-happy to diagnose ADHD. The lack of motivation seems to me just a "normal" part of being a human, either a human in general, or a human in today's world. Buddhism has long called it Dukkha, or the inherent "insatisfactionness" of life. But I guess it's simpler and more profitable to just prescribe some treatment for it, instead of pointing to a spiritual/existential solution.

With respect to your viewpoint on the Warden, keep in mind that it isn't finished yet, and they plan to add some "anti-cheesing methods" to it. The Devs said that there will still be some way to cheese it, but it will be different than cheesing most mobs. In addition, the Warden currently has 500 health, which is 5x more than the Ender Dragon's 100 health, and the Devs said they might increase it. This means that even if there is a good way to cheese the fight, it won't be worth the time to slay the Warden and instead will be better to simply avoid it, as the Devs wanted. On another note, from another (albeit much smaller) content creator with ADHD, I completely understand how it affects your upload schedule and life in general, and I am so glad you are getting better!

@MrJohnboyofsj
@MrJohnboyofsj 2 жыл бұрын
I noticed even in the Bedrock version of the game performance this update took a huge hit, used to be able to play on 48 chunk render distance in Bedrock but now have to use 24 and chunks still don't load fast enough to fly the elytra through them. Hopefully they have a solution I mean the Bedrock version of the game is using DirectX12 and C++ so it shouldn't have performance issues like Java.
@nyahnyahson523
@nyahnyahson523 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrJohnboyofsj Coding language and libraries used means nothing lol. It's 99% about the quality of the code, and unfortunately for Bedrock, as far as I can tell, the whole reprogramming didn't really. Add that much performance. (What C++ *is* good at though, is being cross platform, which does help.) Now obviously it did add quite a bit of performance gain, but as Sodium shows, it literally could have been matched by optimizing Java. Bedrock also does a lot of cheats to keep performance down that Java has never even done, (Simulation Distance is permanently set to 2 chunks, Redstone is inconsistent, world generation further out is incredibly buggy just so that they can say "unlimited size", etc.) Sodium, while doing none of this, still runs very close in specs. The new world gen code is very similar between platforms, and is also very complicated, so each are going to take a pretty big lag hit. Java still has a lot of room to improve, potentially more than even Sodium already improves it, but Bedrock is just kinda. Boned. As far as I can tell. Bedrock was made to be as lag free as possible, while seemingly being very weird to expand. It traded modularity for performance, but now, years later, that decision has made the performance *worse.*

@@kushwanthsai49 well, kind of. I have ADHD and I CAN concentrate on things for a long time if I push myself, but it's painfully difficult to be consistent in everything that I do, and it's very hard for me to pay attention and not doze off, and it's like that with pretty much anything that requires consistency. BUT if I'm genuinely interested in something I can do this for twelve hours straight without missing a beat. That's the good part. The bad part is that things like cleaning my room and brushing teeth were EXHAUSTING to me at some point in my life, to the point that after those activities I felt physically ill like I was unloading trucks for a whole day, when in reality I just got up and made my bed. Don't worry, I still push myself do this, and it has become easier with time because I got professional help, lol. So yeah, simple routines are not our thing. That's why most of us stay with parents longer, because they can help us with housework that is really difficult for us to do because of mental anguish we experience after doing whatever you need to do but don't want to, but we can get better at consistent things if we seek oit professional help and we can be more reliable after that. About the Warden the moment it’s been introduced it seemed to be easily exploitable with basic tricks to defeat it, so I thought it would be cool if it had the effect to destroy nearby blocks when chasing a player so it can make a passage for itself, additionally it being immune to fall/burn/magic damage would spice things up.

0:59 - What is the seed and coords for this? (It kinda reminds me of the valley from Fallen Kingdom) 6:55 - And this seed and cords - this place looks just amazing! As for Warden.... maybe it actually will have a longer reach than us? That would mitigate most of "too easy" ways of kill it (actually I hope it won't be the case) And I Also think the game definitely could use some more biomes. Beside what You mentioned an Volcanic biome, which would partially be caves, and partially a mountain at the surface (and we already have blocks for that like basald and blackstone) But for me - watching all the snapshots - 1.18 feels... empty. I have already seen all the new biomes and the generation and new hight limit was already present in some of thee experimental snapshot... so for me, it feels kinda like it has nothing new. And if that would be all that we get... I would consider 1.18 quite a weak update actually. 1.19 seems very promising though with the Wardan and deep dark and some promising additions to the overworld.
