Heather doesn’t "remember what having two normal feet feels like” ever since a horrific car accident when she was four years old -- her ankle was rebuilt from other parts of her body. But with the pain from the injury getting worse, it is up to Dr. Vincent to help her walk again.

@@lalie9995 I know. People just don’t give a damn literally. They don’t care who you are or what you’re about. They just decide you’re the one they are going to bully and the rest chime in. It’s a sick, disgusting world we live in. I raised 3 boys. My youngest was a beautiful child, blonde with big blue eyes. He was a charming child and his bullying started in KINDERGARTEN…. I started suspecting something was off. My husband decided to meet the bus and as the kids were exiting the bus off comes our 5 year old and you could see a big red handprint on his face. The bus driver claimed she didn’t know anything. The bullying continued for years. No reason. In high school his nose was broke at least 4x. The boys would just aim the basketball at his face. His self esteem was tanked by 7th grade. We tried everything and I was announced mom at school. People, kids especially are so cruel. If I ever caught it found count my kids or any kid I knew did something like this they would never get away with it. This has affected him all his life. He’s 29 now.

I like the fact that she can wear a surgical cap that is big enough to fit her hair. It is difficult for people with non white hair (with more volume ) to find things like these. Last night I heard that specially made swimming caps for black peoples hair were refused by the Olympic Comité. This black females swimmer has more hair with a bigger volume than white people. So the swimming cap should be made to fit her head comfortably. I think they are called Soul Cap and these should be made especially to counter that problem. But oh no… why make it simple if you can have it made difficult? I do hope they change their mind over this. Anyway this is a great doctor with so much empathy for her patients. She is an amazing woman.

Yes! I cannot believe why more prople are not saying that! They treatments and all the pain her whole life was in vain. Especially when she was so young when it happened she would have learned naturally to walk with prostetics. She could have long forgotten that kind of pain and actually have trust on her steps.
