Used coffee grounds, I just spread them around the outside of the house rather than throw them away. I haven't seen any ants, cockroach, or any kind of pest for years inside the house. I get my supply from Starbucks and Dunkin doughnuts. I also used powdered Borax. $4.99 at Home Depot. One treatment can last a whole year.

Agreed! My understanding is that enough caffeine remains in used coffee grounds to make the normally hyperactive ants become hyper-hyper active. Back in the next they die (from heart stress), and ants being carnivorous, the process continues until all are dead.

I used talcum powder outside doorways etc The ants won't cross and harmless to pets Had ants in a cavity wall from 4 years nothing including anti ant spray helped but for the1st time this year since putting talcum along base of walls ,outside doors and on window sils have Not had s single ant inthe cavity wall and safe for the pets !!
