What do I need to make this tuna sandwich?
Onion, 1 tbsp.
Red pepper, 1 tbsp.
Pickled gherkins or olives, 1 tbsp.
Parsley, coriander, or basil, 1 tablespoon.
1 boiled egg.
Canned tuna, 200 g.
Mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons.
Fresh tomato
Cheddar cheese.
Melted butter or oil.
Sandwich bread.

Why is coriander, parsley and basil all listed as substitutes for each other? They have very different flavours. Would you substitute basil for cilantro in a taco recipe?

I use finely chopped celery as well, it just gives it that extra bit of crunch. Delicious.

Absolutely, but with a knife pull the strings out of the celery rib before chopping it! Big difference...

My mom always added chopped celery. Also, in New England, we put potato chips in our sandwiches. Especially tuna!

@Oklahoma Girl Cooks The relish adds a lil' sweet touch. My me-maw made her tuna fish sandwiches w. relish. I can't do celery or cilantro, they both give me immediate indigestion. If I touch celery to my lips, my friends enjoy seeing me begin to belch. Cilatro will make my right eye cry big tears. My X mother in law would always try and force salsa on me when we would eat out. Finally my daugher said, show her mom. I touch 1 tiny lil' taste and my eye begin crying for her. She couldn't believe other people could have different reactions to spices.

Cut Bread n Butter spears into big chunks and you actually taste the pickles! Relish is small and has no taste when mixed in, useless....

Oh my! Looks quite interesting! I would love to try this! In U.S. it's called tuna melt. Oh I wish I had one right now! The buns itself, looks very good. Im picky when it comes bread, buns, ect. So the entire sandwich looks tasty to me!

I just tried this recipe today and it's delicious! I used the dill cocktail gherkins because it wasn't specified in the recipe, and they were fine. I think the sweet ones would be good also. Thanks for sharing!

Muchas recetas qué se suben, pueden o no gustar, también los ingredientes qué usamos qué a veces varía de país a país, de costumbre a costumbre puede variar, es bueno también usar la creatividad, personalmente no me gusta el pimiento, pero yo lo reemplazaré con unos ajíes rojito qué tenemos en mi país o unos tomatitos chicos bien picaditos, pero la idea general me gustó. De todas maneras lo haré 👍

Nicely done. Another herb to try with tuna is tarragon and a squeeze of lemon juice. I love adding egg as well - really rounds-out the sharper flavors.
