Loosing 3-2 or 4-2 is a loss anyway, so risking to loose by an extra goal in an attempt to tie the game is the most logical option to me. Martinez did the great thing. If he would have scored, everyone would have praised about Martinez and I bet the couch would not have said that. In fact, Martinez saved in the finals a goal that 99 times out of 100 hundred would have been scored. Martinez does not deserve this coach who is backstabbing him openly in the media. Without Martinez, Emary would have lost a lot more.... spasking of stats, he should check the stats when Martinez does not play.

Why the reproach to Martinez? Is losing 3 to 2 or 4 to 2 the same as trying to draw 3 to 3? The goalkeeper had bad luck in Jorginho's goal but it is very noticeable how he tries to focus the entire defeat on a single player, who in my opinion did well to find the last goal ball.

Martinez didn´t try to score a goal in the 90th minute, it was in the 90+7 minute after an additional time of just 6 minutes, the very LAST play of the match trying to equalize a score of 3-2, I don´t know why the referee didn´t stop the match after that corner kick. It´s not unheard of to have goalkeepers go an try to score a goal in the very last minute of a match.
