Literally every P2W game is like that because typically paying eliminates the gameplay element of such games. So you get all BiS, you kill 2 people in PvP, get bored because there's nothing to do, stand around in cities for a few minutes, and that's it. Now you just wait for another patch to drop.

@@RichSmithson It's like that in every version of the game. The average group is just looking for blue parses which is not really obsessing. I took a rogue to gnomer before that had no parses and guess what, he did less damage than the healer. Managed to get 3 zero parses with a 7 being his highest. He never died, he just never bothered to figure out how to play the game. People don't want to bring someone who wastes their time. You can easily purple parse in dungeon gear, so blue parses are mainly to show you can at least do some damage and not leach off the group.

​@@tyhyhh In classic, one of the greatest strengths is how items and progress from early phases matter ALL GAME. Band of accuria, onslaught girdle from Molten Core and im sure other items I forgot are BIS or near bis even up until Naxx. It's obviously bad if you put in hard work to grind for something that ends up being meaningless. This is a complaint people have had with retail FOREVER now. I LOVE Classic wow and wanted to like SoD. I keep up with the game and still watch some streamers, so I am up to date with what is going on.

@@rebjorn79 no DR on it but its such a low level ring you're missing out on all the stats you could have from a current xpac ring. The proc chance is so low it's not worth it but regular BGs don't mean anything so it's fun to take in there to troll people.

Either you didn't read the ring , or you don't understand the mechanic of that fight. The ring only does frost damage to an enemy and freezes it when you are struck. As for the bonus frost damage ; The amount of frost damage you do doesn't matter, you simply have to hit the boss "x" times with frost damage attacks. 14 years later and still learning basic mechanics. Yikes.

Maybe his viewers or his friends or guildmates are giving it to him. However, it is not hard to earn a lot of gold if you simply play a lot and if you know how to make gold. Put literally everything you can on the auction house. Keep playing, doing dungeons, farming shit, even fishing I guess, gold will accumulate. Then there are people who just spend a lot of time on the AH. Buying items when they're cheap because undercutters are idiots and people who don't keep an eye out for idiotic undercutters end up putting a lot of items up for cheap can mean easy gold if you don't mind the hazzle of sitting and buying and selling and grabbing from AH and cancelling sales to put yours on top again when someone undercut you by 1 copper etc.

gold really is not that important. i've spent maybe 100-150 gold to finish getting enchants and prebis (the few items i did buy were super marginal upgrades compared to other options so i didn't need to). did i get the current tier of +7 type enchants? no, but also that isn't going to stop me from getting a raid spot. there isn't a lot to spend gold on in SoD. People are just whiny and miserable

The streamers and KZfaqrs aren’t helping this game at all and if anything are driving away casuals.

@@RichSmithson this is a really casual season with all the catch ups and everything. people in here are pretending you need all these costly marginal gains to do well and you don't. you don't need a several hundred gold dagger to get into a raid, don't need several hundred gold trinkets to get into a raid or do well in pvp, don't need most expensive enchants. people are picking the HIGHEST end things to scrutinize and pretend it is necessary and makes this pay-to-win. parses show people doing fine without those things.
