This isn’t a call-out or anything just a note but shoujo isn’t a genre it’s a demographic so there is the usual genres within shoujo. It’s like how shounen has your usual staple action adventure but not all shounen is action adventure like Horimiya is a shounen but it’s a romance genre wise. Similarly there is a lot of romance shoujo but not all shoujo is romance like banana fish is shoujo but it’s an action drama. Shoujo just means it’s written with women in mind advertising wise it’s like how YA novels are aimed at young adults but adults can and do read and enjoy them, young adults are just the target demographic.

ACK - yes - this is a great thing to mention - my total bad on that one. I know this - but i often make the mistake out of bad habits of confusing the two - something to work on! TY again Mahou! I'll 100% try to hammer out that habit ESPECIALLY while filming too.

It's hard to collect Air Gear fully in singles, but volumes 15-17 were never printed in singles only in Omni format and it is very OOP same with vol 28

I seen the other day that "HUNTERxHUNTER is no longer listed as a 'serialized work' from Weekly Shonen Jump on the magazine's official website. The series is now listed in the 'Archived Serializations' section along with ended, canceled, and transferred works" 😕

Hello Boogie loved the video! I have collected manga in the past but want to get back into it. However I live quite rural and don't have like a local comic shop (the one I can go to is almost an hour away from me and their selection is okay I guess, their pricing a bit less so..). So do you have any recommends of sites I can use to get good manga for good prices? I'm mainly asking as I have received damaged books by ordering online from stores here and don't want to experience that again. Thanks in advance for the answer! ps: also prefer single volumes, my biggest pet peeve is when they start with singles and then move onto omnibus volumes is such a dealbreaker

You should read Yona of the Dawn if you wanna get into shoujo. It's a damn good action shoujo. Pretty much on the same level of Berserk and Vagabond imo
