The Kirby Estate in Bermondsey, London is often referred to as The Most Patriotic Estate in ENGLAND 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Famed for its St. Georges flags and support for the England football team, the Kirby Estate has become incredibly well known over the years. Whilst in the area, checking out The Den (home to Millwall FC) I thought I'd pop over and take a look! Please note, this is where people live. So as much as the estate has celebrated it's fame over the years, please be respectful if you are to take a visit 👍🏽 I messaged Chris, one of the "Flag Ninjas" on instagram and he was up for a chat, a laugh and to share some stories from this fantastic housing estate. i grew up on a council estate not far from here in holborn, during euro 2004 we had flags like this all over the estate but they were all different nations not just england we had portugal, france, germany, belguim etc, i was 9 back then and it really made me feel the magic of football for the first time

Will the flags be out for the rugby and cricket? Because since 1966 we have won a Rugby World Cup in 2003 and Cricket World Cup in 2019 and the T20 World Cup in 2010 and 2022.

@@RysFootyParadiseweirdly they were up when the women played in 2019 .. which also happened to be around the same time the men's cricket team won the World Cup !! So yeah they have been up for the cricket .. but we don't have to have them up for everything !! It's primarily about the football for us on here so that's our chosen go to for putting the flags up !! And we have done it for St George's day on numerous years in the past !!
