I spent the day at k-tec suspension factory getting a fork kit fitted and and speaking the the pros how everything works. I learnt some stuff and hopefully you guys will too as always send in any questions and I’ll ask the people that actually know lol
And before anyone says it i just prefer the feel of k-tec im by no means saying its any better or worse than other brands.

I really appreciate you showing the "behind the scenes" of K-tec and a bit of the work that goes into changing out the fork cartridge. I would love to understand it better to be able to know what happens when I adjust my suspension. 🤔 Thanks Lee and keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🏍 Randy

What do you weigh? What’s the difference in springs between the 600 and 1000. The biggest spring I use is 85 in 600. On moto 3 averagely run 60 springs 😂.
@Leejohnston
@Leejohnston Жыл бұрын
So right now I’m 65kg buy race weight is normally 62 and spring weight is all down to rider preference and how aggressive each rider is and also the track type

@@Leejohnston I had a 16 stone rider who wasn’t hard on the front that ran same springs as me and I’m only 8.5 stone 🤣. Had a 80kg rider on my moto 3 at manx this year and we had him on 6.25. Was just wondering what the difference was for you between 600 and 1000.

@@GH-rt8ih I completely understand how suspension works. I work at bsb. I was just wondering what difference Lee has between his 600 and 1000. I’ve had riders twice my weight on 600s run the same weight springs as me. The moto 3 only weighs 80kg. Biggest spring we’ve ever used is a 8.5

So when I rode for the Honda factory team they were obviously sponsored by ohlins and I asked for k-tec because I have used it most of my career and have the feel of it so its just preference obviously ohlins is a much larger company with loads more success so I can’t argue with you just explaining that’s the feel I like personally like.
