I visited Maiduguri, what many would call one of Nigeria's most dangerous cities, due to its dark history. But as with all my travels, the reality is far more complicated. Maiduguri itself is a safe and peaceful city. Let me take you on a tour showing everything from the local Hausa and Kanuri food to the markets like Baga Road Market, Bama Cap Sellers, and the Livestock Market. This video will change your perception on Maiduguri.

People who are upset about the title haven't really watched the video. The title is the opposite of the content and its meant to attract viewers.. The people of Maiduguri are generally peace loving, it was BH conflict that marred the tranquility of the city and region at large. Chris and Nike well done.❤

This video really gives me nostalgia, I was born and raised in Maiduguri, I even did my undergraduate in University of Maiduguri. Back then, Maiduguri was regarded as the most peaceful state in Nigeria until Boko Haram happened 😢. But I heard things are beginning to go back to normalcy, would love to visit again someday 😊

One of the best documentaries I have ever seen. Thank you for a detailed video on Maidugiri, we all loved it. The Central mosque.,the cattle market, the Cap makers the Suya. Well I was here when I was a kid in 1987. Iam very grateful to you, for making such a nice Vlog. And not to mention the hospitality given by your hosts. Keep posting such videos on Nigeria.❤

Its insane that your videos dont get more views, this is absolutely insane and so informative as well as just enjoyable, and your production value is great. It's a shame so little people come to look for more, seeing how well your shorts do, but I'm so excited to go through your channel!!

The Shehu Bornu is not just the king of Maiduguri, but of Bornu. He is the paramount ruler of the Kanuri people in Borno and Yobe states and in the neighbouring countries actually.

Thank you so much for doing this, Chris. A dear friend of mine is from Maiduguri and I would absolutely love to visit one day. You don’t know how much relief I am feeling after viewing such positive feedback regarding your personal experience of traveling as a foreigner in that region. May the people of Northern Nigeria continue to enjoy a life of peace and stability for many years to come. 🫶🏼

It's a shame, maiduguri use to be the most beautiful city in Nigeria 🇳🇬 in the 80s,then kano and portharcourt. Today, after boko haram the city is a shadow of itself,it has lost that beauty and glory...Nigerian government is partly responsible for boko haram, you cant victimised, oppressed and keep people in poverty for so long and not expect to create boko whatever.ln southeastern Nigeria today, there is another movement known as unknown gunmen.lt's all a symptom and reaction to government corruption, underdevelopment, impunity, injustice etc.Not until Nigeria starts to be a just society the country will always struggle with one extreme rebellion or another.Thank you.

Not close Enjera is sour and Kisra is sweet trust me i am Ethiopian but lived in the north also in the 80s to early 90s. kisra can be made without sugar to mimic the sour taste of Enjera though. Kisra is originally northern Sudanese dish that was introduce to the north via the trade route and later on pilgrimage by norther Nigerians on their way to Mecca. L love the north due to its similarity with Ethiopia culturally than the southern Nigeria.

How are you sir? I hope you are very well. Your video quality is very good but you are not getting views on the video, I have visited your channel a lot. But I found something wrong at the end. No matter how much money you spend behind your channel thumbnail, you won't get many views. Because KZfaq puts videos in front of everyone according to its algorithm. I have sent screenshots of 3 videos of the channel to your mail address, Where you will find that your video lacks any good tags, good keywords and good good description. I want to do SEO for your channel videos. KZfaq organically places your channel's videos in its search list. And if you give me SEO work, I'll create thumbnails of your choice at the same time.ytyt
