I feel for roy because i feel as great as he is and as much as he can bring something else to the game. He just dosent have the management skills. He wants them to give as much as he would and they just won't. And its a criticism on the players not on him. Roy gave everything and has the accolades and the trophies to prove it. He deserves to be listened to.

I don't really remember watching much of him play but i wish i did. For him, as a player u have to give your all at all times. He talks straight and very honest. I love him.

It was at this point he lost his job and that’s why i love him, he’s a born winner who accepts nothing but perfection and that’s why he will never be a good manager, just like Hoddle, Kegan, Hughes etc….

Hoddle had no people skills, Keegan had absolutely zero tactical knowledge and Hughes is average. Not bad not great. It's got nothing to do with aiming for perfection which could never be attained Hoddle's players always hated him

No it wasn't. This was after Ireland lost their final warm-up friendly in Cork before Euro 2016 finals in France. Keane and O'Neill were still involved more than a year later. Other than that, fair enough.

Oof idk about that man, he's a very intense and prideful guy and i don't see that going over too well at a PSG or Manchester City or something. Tactical nous and intense desire is important, but so is love of the game, and i can see Roy being awfully good at killing that for certain players.

naaah. i don't think so, not with today's insta and twitter pros. Players at big clubs are too valuable now, they would simply stop playing and get him sacked in a month like what Chelsea players did with Mourinho. He can manage small clubs with young lads willing to sweat and fight their way to fame though.

I like Keane the pundit, but this is part of the reason he could no longer manage. A tough coach needs to be very good, otherwise the players will turn around and fairly point out that he is no Tuchel or Guardiola.

Don't get me wrong Ireland have never been poorer but to me Roy Keane needs to realise that even though you sometimes rule with the stick you have to use the carrot more. His attitude will completely destroy some players confidence
