Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this song and video. LP’s writing and performing are unmatched in style, and, as my son would say, her music is “a vibe.” You MUST listen to “Strange.” One of the most powerful songs I’ve ever heard.

I'm so thrilled that you like this. LP's voice and her whole stage presence just blows me away. She's so intense and I love how her androgeny is more like strong femininity and strong masculinity mixed instead of being in the middle. She hits those intense feelings that just make you want to wail.

You pretty much nailed it! From what I’ve heard she wrote this song after a bad break up with her gf at the time. You can really hear the emotions in this live performance (not to mention that she truly is just a wonderful vocalist over all 😊)

@@louannlang7471 All four of them are VASTLY different in tone, style, and content. The things that they do have in common are the burr in their lower registers, gorgeous voices, and great music. To be honest, this is my first time hearing LP and I only know one song by Ryder, so I may be doing them a disservice. But Janice and Eartha have pretty good catalogs.

Hi, I saw her 3 months back live in Prague and it was unbelievable, I knew few songs before, not many... I was a little bit afraid it would be too much melancholic, but what I saw just made me happy, smiling, speechless... First of all - her voice and her intonation is simply amazing and extraordinary. But the most important thing is how she can entertain the crowd, spreading love, happiness, piece... and so much energy... for me it was one of the greatest show I've ever seen...after it I saw and heart maybe everything she did and I am looking forward to see her again... watch here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aJlopbZpmbi8hXU.htmlsi=OUgssQQ4LhueiJyC

Of the music that's been released lately ? I absolutely love this tune, and my first concert was Zeppelin in Tampa Fl in 73. I was 13. No adult supervision. Seen many of the greats. The Stones a couple times, The Who a couple. Pink Floyd 4 times starting also in 73 ,Deep Purple, The Almond Brothers, Skynyrd.... Point ? Haven't heard anything this good since 3 Doors Down. Everything except Kryptonite which was played to death. Excellent...
