If you love this song, you love LP, she wrote it lol. And look up her writing credits, they are incredible and she’s written for tons of artists. Only somewhat recently (some years, recent when looking at her career) has she begun to perform her music herself again. And thank goodness she has! She brings such a beautiful tone and authenticity, she is a treasure!

LP wrote this song. She's written most of the songs she sings and she's also Opera trained. So everything she does with her voice is intentional. She's a very talented person. Anyone that likes her songs should watch her interviews.

If I am not mistaken, LP's mother was an opera singer and she lost her to cancer when she was a teenager.

LP is gloriously kickass. One of the best (killer) singer/songwriters to come along in quite some time; someone in full possession of ability to get to a spectacular place very quickly. A true phenomenon. I don't say that lightly.

I'm so glad you're going to be reacting to LP. I have been trying for the longest time to get someone to react to her. I have asked several reactions channels to react to this song because she is absolutely AMAZING!! She has one of the most unique voices I have ever heard in my life!

She was born in Huntington, Long Island, to parents of Italian descent: her maternal grandparents were from Naples and her paternal grandfather from Palermo. Her mother Marie, an opera singer, made Laura listen to the opera and, discovering her daughter's talent, supported her desire to become a singer-songwriter. Through her father, Laura discovered Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly, and her first song was "A Hard Day's Night" by The Beatles. Laura moved to New York City and adopted the stage name LP. As a teenager, he became involved in radio and became interested in The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana and Jeff Buckley.

I was waiting on your reaction when she hit that high C. I knew we would get a pause and analysis. Lol. When I first heard this song in the radio years ago, I thought it was Gwen Stefani, but heard that uniqueness in LP’s voice and thought, nah, this is someone new and special. Love all her music. Totally not what I was expecting but very pleasantly surprised! 👏 Not sure if you are old enough to have heard of the band Styx, but, Tommy Shaw does a stripped down acoustic version of Fooling Yourself with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra that is a must experience.
