We were talking tonight about how surreal it feels to be learning, like, scientific information regarding the ecology of the one piece world. There is just so much context, so much lore and history that makes the world feel tangible. I won’t speak for everyone, but I get butterflies when I think of what is to come.

Once One Piece Ends there's only two options left, either the Strawhats continue exploring beyond their planet or Luffy's will is going to be inherited by future generations so Luffy never truly dies which circles back to Dr. Hiriluk's speech.

my theory in regards to joyboy being the first pirate is pretty simple The ancient kingdom was a prosperous kingdom with advancements that vegapunk is constantly trying to recreate said advancements include the control of weather, the creation of food, infinite energy, and so on And when everybody has such a high standard of living that there is no needs or wants that cannot be fulfilled with ease, the likelihood of criminals is very unlikely. and even if there were criminals, there is even less of a reason for them to go on the sea when everything they could need or want would be just as easy to take from their own island as anywhere else. Now, what would happen if the ancient kingdom began to decline. Say that the mother flame had side effects, or that the people in charge became corrupt and were far too greedy, or so on.

The theory that sticks out the most to me is the one that connected one piece to that manga short story where everyone is happy under a spell and one day someone gains the ability to see the music keeping everyone peaceful is neutering their personalities and wills. keeping everyone a happy peaceful zombie, no war or rebellion, no thoughts this reminds me of how skypiea is run under enel and also how the world government runs the world. they dont play a lullaby to enforce peace but rather its an iron fist that slams when someone speaks against the status quo, keeping everyone in line These feel like a resemblence of what Oda is cooking with the world before the world government. A hyper advanced civilization that had everything and everyone under control of everyone on earth. all being one landmass like pangea. they could have some kind of rule about sailing because they couldnt control people at sea. a rule that as long as everyone stays on the land that there will peace under a god, joyboy could have been the first person to ever speak against this god and care more about the freedom than the peace from there a war could have been started where the ancient kingdom rulers kept firing the ancient weapons at joyboy until pangea sunk forming the island worlds of one piece the ancient kingdoms technology progression allowed them to have the weapons to keep pangea under strict control, someone created devil fruits as a weapon to defy the original god keeping everyone in line with weapons

Assuming Hancock & the others who were with her in chapter 1059 weren't seen or mentioned in this chapter, perhaps there's at least a slim chance for any of them meet Luffy before leaving Egghead ends and/or heading to Elbaf. 2. It's no surprise that Oda deliberately had Vegapunk be partially clueless on these details. However, it does made me wonder if Robin will end up revealing the rest on his behalf. 3. When reading the part about how Vegapunk mentioned that Joy Boy had Rubber powers, I am curious if anyone will try connecting Luffy to his ancient predecessor?! Who knows, perhaps the Barto Club might be the 1st people to connect the dot!

I just recently started to read One Piece during the past 2 months. For me, one thing that never truly answered in One Piece, a manga about pirate is the nature of piracy itself. The real world piracy is about a venture to gain profit. However, in One Piece it seems that piracy is either these 2 things: (1) a venture of alliance/nation building (of some idyllic/forgotten ideals), or (2) a retreat from the oppressor and attempt to pursue lifestyle that encourage freedom (and maybe freed some oppressed people along the way).. at least these seems apply to pirates with respectable career and bounty.

Hello Joyboy! Long time fan here! Since I saw the panel with the mother flame I cant get out of my head the similarities it has with Luffy’s Red Hawk against Hody Jones underwater. At that time I remember questioning how could flames burn underwater. I think that Luffy is the key to the power of the mother flame and Oda foreshadowed that since fishman island.

Not sure if discussed before but perhaps the reason Roger's crew believed they were "too early" was because the oceans need to rise a little more for something to be revealed. This may be why Rayleigh said that Robin (and crew) might find a different conclusion whilst following the poneglyphs herself. The last puzzle piece to solve the problems of the world isn't obtainable yet. This is why they couldn't act on the information they had at the time. Instead, they decided to just bring all the currently available information to one place where at least the next generation would have it ready when needed. Also, I am still not sure if the Gorosei are purely evil. There is a chance that they have humanity's survival as a priority, and enact policies based on that. Perhaps they know of all the puzzle pieces Roger's crew knew, but because they are also missing the last piece of information they chose to save the planet using assumptions of what that information might be. Their decision to extinguish a light in history might be what they consider a requirement to save humanity. (side note: the English translation for that section is not sufficient in explaining what the Gorosei were talking about. They ask Imu which "灯" to extinguish. While that word does technically mean light, it is probably a reference to the practice of material offerings in Buddhism in which case it is usually an oil lamp or candle. There's also an entire rabbit hole you can go down here with regards to things like an "eternal flame" as it appears in several religions/cultures) Imu may in fact be trying to raise the sea levels on purpose so that they can find this information. So, in essence, the "one piece" could be the final piece of information that the world is not aware of yet, and cannot be obtained until the ocean levels rise a certain amount. This adds to an existing theory that Roger's crew never actually found the one piece. Just theorycrafting so don't take this too seriously.

I'm very happy that Nika and joy boy aren't the same. That's what always made sense to me. I remember hearing your theory about Joy boy being the first pirate ages ago. So this chapter wasn't a total shock to me.

We don’t know how exactly Joyboy acquired Nika powers but we know the fruit has been aloof since and the government wanted it. We also know the government went all out to prevent Roger’s kid from being born and this was around the time the new mermaid princess would be born. Dragon likewise was very secretive about his son. They all knew among the D’s the next iteration of Nika would be born and challenge the world.

This was definitely a chapter where the lore was more important than the action currently occurring, but god the cameos, so many cameos! Just reminds you of how big the world is, we went all the way back to Orange Town! With Chouchou! Very clever of Vegapunk to use the Lulusia after-effects to prove his point. However I don't think York gave the WG the Mother Flame in secret, since he was still shocked to learn that York was the traitor, York is bartering the knowledge to make more than just one. However we're still not done it seems, because why is the picture necessary? We've yet to be shown a visual. Doflamingo is just hilarious to me right now; man is literally a menace, and now everyone in Impel Down just chills next to him pure vibes and speculation, basically having a bro down with Magellan right now. I do wonder how Robin feels about the lore drop, it's a lot of information from Ohara she has yet to discover, I wonder if she feels irked that she didn't get to learn it? But still, the crew did well to repel Saturn from her, since he then prioritized the Mother Flame. The Mother Flame somehow reminded me of Whitebeard's last words; about a flame that will never be extinguished even if the bloodline gets erased. It gets passed on from ancient times until now. Maybe somewhat, that flame wasn't just a metaphor for something that happened during the Void Century, it was something related to the Eternal flame or the Mother Flame

You have to look up piracy to see that it is from the 14th century and related to the “Sea Peoples”. Bear in mind vikings weren’t pirates. It makes sense to me that there may have been an inclination to explore as the sea levels rose and previously known land bridges disappear.

It would shed some light on the gorosei, WG, and Imu's ferocity towards him & the Void Century. It also would shed light on Joyboy's apologie letter as well as Zunisha's crime, being his nakama. My theory is that the void century is not really an “erasure of history”, but more like a shift in the use of the calendar from the sky calendar to the sea calendar. The history of the sky calendar ended 900 years ago, but with the shift of the calendar, it started as 800 years prior, meaning that all history before the “void century” is based on the sky calendar, and everything in the current timeline is based on the sea calendar, but with this 100 year discrepancy. Another theory is that the void century feels like what happened in Kanata no Astra. *spoilers* the real twist of that series is that the people completely rewound the calendar 100 years so that the newer generations could not know about the wars and the migration to the planet Astra from Earth, continuing the timeline as if it was the 1960’s instead of the 2060’s.

Hollow earth theory and i think that water seven is the entrance to the kingdom inside the earth. imu destroys the advanced kingdom by using the weapons of mass destruction(pluto, poseidon etc etc..) loses the weapons due to joyboy having a plan, but imu succeds halfway, creating the calm belt control the seas, creating reverse mountain so that he control the flow of pirates, seizing control of important devil fruits. what does imu want? they probably bored after reigning for centuries, final game with joyboy reincarnate

Your theory on Joy Boy being the first pirate because there was no ocean reminded me of my own theory regarding the ocean and Luffy’s dream. Basically, I theorize that Luffy’s dream is super simple, ridiculous, and easily laughed at: Luffy wishes to drain the ocean so that everyone can more easily cross the world. He was a kid who lost the ability to swim, but he still wanted to explore what the world had to offer. Such a ridiculous dream to empty the world’s vast oceans… unless, that world had some kind of hollowed internal where the ocean could be drained to?

There's no way that in a civilization with advanced technology that Joyboy was the first to invent a boat. One of your other options is much more likely.

I enjoyed the recent Pyrobrine Dyson Sphere video ("Insane Secret..."), and I thought it was easily digestible and understandable. If anything, I thought @Joy_Boy Theories pulled some punches with it, and I wanted more. I was happy to see him expanding on it here. This is ALL canon to me, from what I've read in One Piece, unless and until proven otherwise in-canon. Go off, King! 99% of great theories will be proven wrong, but you Vegapunked it, and most of your theory bases are relevant - unlike SOME closed minded theorists! When I first saw the mother flame, it reminded me a lot of amaterasu from Fire Force. Do you think vegapunk has a person in there, maybe the first lunarian clone?

I conviced myself that Oda knows the true history of the real world and wrote One Piece to hint us, a void century (dark ages) a one world government that wants to control it all, thinking about this stuff lead me to think that all of the losts civilizations in history disappeared because there was a "great cleansing" and everything started over from scratch, how many times have they done this who knows, and who are they :D

Joy boy can be the first pirate only if the the ancient kingdom was so advanced that traveling by sea was obsolete… so advanced that everything was either teleported for flown around. No need to travel or shipping thing by sea if you can teleport there in a second or fly there in a day

I haven't seen any comments yet on how Saturn visibly shied away from the mother flame, shouting "ugh". He then reverts to human form to destroy the lab, why do that when they are in a panicked rush, when his demon form is way more destructive and efficient? I think the mother flame has properties that directly counter the Elder's powers, maybe devil fruits as a whole. Something to do with sea stone properties perhaps? If Luffy's powers have mother flame properties, and the former idea is correct, wouldn't this also potentially allow him to fight Blackbeard, nullifying Blackbeard's own nullification abilities?

I bet joyboy stole the eternal flame from the moon people and brought it down to earth. I don't know much about sun wukong, but isn't there a tale where he steals from the Gods and gets punished?

Now we just need to figure out if the Birkans escaped to the the moon because or the threat of a previous Mother Flame or hearing about how its use seemingly created water left the moon to the blue planet in order to acquire it as a resource (as chapter 472 could be implying) only to discover it had been already destroyed in the war.

After your last video my mind started running and this is what it ended up with This is my personal theory of the world that one piece takes place in and how it reached to the current point in the story. The Theory needs a few key points to be understood. 1. Ringwoodite - for the uninitiated it's basically a real world compound that stores a vast amount of water, several times the amount on the planet surface. 2. The Ancient Weapons - Pluton the Great Battle Ship, Neptune the Mermaid Princess and Commander of the Kaiju Sea monsters and Uranus (Which is clearly either a spaceship or orbital weapon) The world we see currently that the strawhat's sail isn't the original one piece world, the world of the past is completely sunk already. Before the war with the ancient kingdom the 20 kingdoms used the ancient weapon Uranus to launch a premature attack on then to weaken the ancient kingdom. This attack however had unintended consequences because the weapon cause damage to the planet and set off a chain reaction in the one piece equivalent of ringwoodite layer of the planet and same as with lulusia in the era of today there was earthquake right after and the sea level rose for the first time, and after seeing this Imu decided on a new plan not just conquering the world but repopulating it with everyone being human to Imu. The fact the lunarians were seemingly regarded as gods, also makes me think that Pangaea Castle was the Lunarian Capital and they used humans as slaves, and also for their own entertainment. There is definitely more the the war than we know, it would make alot of sense that the ancient kingdom and the 20 kingdoms were allies wiping out the lunarians would also fit. The war ended with the ancient kingdom either being betrayed or losing and 19 of 20 Royal Families moving to the top of the red line, the red line itself I don't believe was made because the lunarians are said to have lived there, but once the 19 Families were moved they flooded the world but Nefertari Lily stopped the 19 by destroying the original motherflame and putting a pause button on Imu plans. It is my belief that Joyboy was a pirate not because he terrorized the sea but because he used the Poseidon to ferry survivors to fishman island, until the flooding came to a stop which explains why it's in a bubble and why the Noah was constructed. This is how so many races survived. The white sea and the white white sea, the white sea is artificially made but the byproduct of all the people that died in the flood being converted into pyrobloin and then being ejected by volcanoes, where as the white white sea is naturally occurring sky clouds. While saving people it's possible that Joyboy used his rubber powers to reshape a series of dome and tunnels to protect the ancient city capital and which is possibly the final stop where the one piece is, my guess is a the one piece is a book that decodes the poneglyphs that was written but the current time time fruit user that has awaken the fruit and travelled back to give joy boy hope of a brighter future to come the story of a boy who wanted to be free. The holy land has a lot of association with land: mary GEOise and especially PANGEA castle. I assume before joyboy the world was a big continent and hence no one took to sea and became a pirate until him. He probably started a great age of pirates. After he was defeated the red line was likely formed to divide the ocean and discourage pirates.
