I was a bit frustrated after growing Hoya waymanie for couple of years and not seeing those blooms - especially because of the weird growth. Turns out, I just needed the right one to see the blooms in less than a year!

I think you just thought to show us the sparse vines , and that is why you untrellised her . The silver waymaneae is popular and can be bought easily around Canada. Thank you for advocating for and sharing your hoya hobby . 😮 I look forward so much to each new video .

Welcome to the stage: Girthy Peduncle! This video got more and more chaotic by the second and I absolutely loved it. 😂 Miro is the first one from the nursery we both ordered some Hoyas last year? The one where you had to film a rant because the plants were severely overwatered. Mine sadly died because I let it dry out and then it started to rot when I watered it.

Well, it was a very accurate description of that peduncle! Especially when you compare it to the average... Yes, it is from that nursery! That was the only plant that was not so severly overwatered that it rotted in shipping, but it still had some root rot. Mine definitely still gets underwatered and leaves go very soft and wrinky (do not recommend lol) but it bounces back very quickly. Still, I will repot it to a more barky mix and then I can water it normally without fear of root rot. In coco peat and perlite I still feel waymaniae can get easily overwatered... I hope you try it again, it is worth it! It gets very beautiful and flowers easily :)

I tie up hoyas with such strong stems using the (loose) twine method. This is similar to wiring bonsais, which of course also works with Hoyas. The twine method is often seen on mass market Hoya australis. However, I still have to do this with my two Hoya waymaniae clones.

@@BasiePlants I have the kapuas. every time im looking at it, im like "wow, you are such an ugly plant with such beautiful leaves". like gollum, the eyes are nice and blue but the total look not so much🤣
