My artifact farming experience in one word: ... PAIN.

The artifact strongbox is basically just gambling with gambled stuff

That 125 flat DEF on the emblem circlet is both troll and legendary. I don't think I've ever had anything that bad, but I also don't upgrade further if I get two bad stat rolls in a row.

My motto for artifacts: Keep farming till you get all the mainstats for the character > pick the mainstats with the best value (substats) for the character > level em up > equip > forget. I don't particularly care about the substats as long as the set bonus and mainstats are right. Most of the time that is all it takes to do big damage. If enemies die they die 👌.

The strongbox is stingy as hell, also farmed the hell out of the Emblem domain this past year but still has sub par artifacts, why does it even need 3 artifacts to produce a single one?! 😭

Recently got a piece that all rolled into flat atk. 3 useful stats, 2 being crit. After 2 or so rolls, I actually hoped it went well into it just because of how rare it is, and was so happy in the end it actually did. 😳

From my own experience, I can already tell the result before watching the video. Though to me, when I imagine my character being good after equipping the artifacts I farmed for them, I don't feel tired from farming.

With emblem drop rates rigged and initial substats and rolls rigged in favor of flat stats (suggested by datamining), the grind will never end. They added emblem to the strongbox to make it seem like they care about lessening the grind, but underneath the hood they made adjustments so nothing really changed. They know artifact grinding for min/maxing for the abyss or flexing in coop is the only endgame content the game has and they're not about to make that easier to keep you hooked.

The Chance for every roll getting into flat Defense on this Artifact was 0,0009765625% and still Hoyo made it possible to let Bran suffer this hard.

I don’t get how you evaluate artifacts. You won’t roll a good three liner to see if it rolls second crit but will roll a double crit 3 stat start. Those are identical in crit rolls.

I’ve been getting real lucky with artifact farming except with the severed fate. Worst domain with the best outcome if you win the gamble

im actually really happy they added pale flame because i got eula in 3.8 (yes,even her weapon. unintentionally might i add) and while i CAN beat the domain normally,it’s just pain and suffering.

new artifact system idea: being able to choose main and substats, but double (or even triple) the exp requirements

The strongbox kinda works for me. Like I would farm for domains that my DPS needs then strongbox the sets my supports need. I've never farmed for VV but my Kazuha and sucrose got their own EM sets, Bennett also got noblesse from strongbox.

Strongbox always worth it if you're at endgame. You don't want to keep shitty artifact and your inventory has its limit. The mechanic of strongbox though has to improve for more quality of life.

since emblem is one strongbox most promising substats are from feathers but theres still some copium moment where it rolled in the awful def stat so 10 days into fontaine i got 3 great feathers and 1 great flower what i need is a crit rate circlet for my xingqiu then possibly a 30 crit dmg+ sub stat so i can have a cracked Yelan and Raiden then through their old artifact to the likes of Xiangling, Beidou and Mona

I keep maxing out artifact limit because that is all I do these days when I am not leveling characters. The strong box allows me to save my resin for newer artifact sets, talent mats or boss mats. The limit is raised but I feel like I will have it maxed out in no time. It is not ideal, but I don't need all those artifacts just for leveling up new ones, I just keep some for fodder.

Am I the only one that is lucky on the strong box? Have gotten a 50 cv piece and like about 2 40+ cv. Also I have only gotten 10 artifacts from strongbox. (Ar 48).

I think you might have a bit too high expectations Bran. That Hydro goblet could have rolled into crit 1 more time and been a 30 CV piece. Also if you ever plan on getting Raiden definitely keep good att% (mainstat) goblets. Especially on Emblem!

farming for maruchaussee hunter has been HELL for me. i keep getting far more golden troupe over hunter and any hunter atifacts i DO get are complete dogshit. while the golden troupe artifacts i've collected is subpar at best

i have an ok luck with artifacts. except emblem. i have a few good ones , but not good enough for a full set on a single character. and i farmed it a lot

NGL strongbox is a lifesaver for when you're farming Wanderer Troupe. I got some of my best pieces through it.

Yes, it always ends like this. It's a waste of time . I would only grind for maybe 4 or 5 days of resin max and settle with something decent. Artifact grind in Genshin is terrible and nothing is done to improve it. I believe making it so you don't have to pick them from the ground was the only qol for all this years (apart from condensed resin which in general is a big thing). Star Rail has the same problem but somehow it's easier + you can target craft pieces (and still have shit substats). Guess for me personally i don't keep purple pieces in Genshin, while in Star Rail i keep and use them, so it's easier to gear up without weeks of grinding.
