i think igor's theme is a really great tone setter for the album. the production is incredible and gives a solid glimpse into the style of the rest of the album, i think the menacing nature of the instrumental throughout the majority of the track is really engaging and the progression of the track, the way the bit with the guest vocals almost fights against the rest of the track to try and change the vibe before the menacing synths kind of explode back in at the end is just really cool to me

Seriously though, glad this one got another shot. His stylistic change on this album and Call Me If You Get Lost were great to see as a long time fan. He's making the type of music that calls to him.

They're not pitched up or anything he just sounded like that for some reason.

This album is the one that got me into tyler. Goated album. Also as a old time viewer (around the time the album got released) Brads really perfected his craft, from articulating his thoughts, being incredibly honest, and having incredible quality in everything. Congrats Brad!

I like to think that IGOR'S theme is a perfect intro to the album's sound, but I THINK is the true character intro.

Albums get a lot of bonus points from me when they feel cohesive and immersive. There are a few albums that do that for me. This one, Flower Boy, Care For Me, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, TPAB, The Incredible True Story, Swimming, etc. When an album brings you into its world from the writing, to the album cover, production, sound design, those are the albums that truly have identity. So many albums nowadays just feel like half assed compilations of songs.

Honestly we should commend brad for being so open minded to revisit this album and give it such a substantial change. It takes a lot of bravery to do that ESPCIALLY with that title so big respect to brad

It actually is a perfect loop but in a different way. The last notes for are we still friends are cut off before the cord progression is complete but the opening note of Igor’s theme completes the progression and resolves the melody.

Igor basically was to Brad what My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is to Fantano. I think Flower Boy and CMIYGL are both better albums but I still think Igor is really good. I give it an 8.

The point of igors there is to set up thing musicly more than anything else you can hear pits and pices of it all though the album. It realy brings the album together for me.

I'm so glad Brad gave a chance to IGOR again and finally came back around to seeing the vision for this album, when the first review came out you could tell how Brad was missing a lot of the picture and he kind of closed himself off trying to get it, funny how Running Out Of Time is the least favorite now considering how in the original review it was one of the only ones he liked, also surprised how much he enjoyed Boyfriend, too bad for the copyright. The narrative of the album is kind of loose at points but the overall theme becomes much more developed after the first half, as the tracks get deeper into the relationship between IGOR and his Boyfriend, how unhealthy it is, the love triangle and so on, first tracks including IGOR'S THEME serve more to establish the sound and the story is only contextual until we get into Running Out Of Time and New Magic Wand. The ending tracks really do a lot to show the full progression of the story and how ultimately the feelings stay unresolved which is why you can replay the album over and over as the story technically never really ends, because IGOR can't stop himself from falling in love again. Conclusion: WE WON, BRAD ADMITS IGOR GREATEST OF ALL TIME

Boy is a gun was the first track I heard from this album, honestly the first Tyler song I started listening to. It certainly sucked my into the narrative of the album from the start. It dropped at a very relatable (and dramatic) time in my life for sure, so I'm pretty biased.

tbh i always liked Tylers singing lmao. i dunno why, its technically bad but i love it. Daniel Johnston wasnt a great singer and to me he made some of the best songs ever. good album. to me i was so happy for this albums success. i remember first listening to goblin, wolf and Cherry Bomb. i thought he was eye rollin in his edgy nature, but the more i listened i was like "whoa this dude is really talented as a producer like wow". tho i knew his lyrical content and comedy would sway people from his work. knew he'd have to tone it back just a bit and mature. Igor finally got picked up by the general public, and i was like hell yeah FINALLY this dude gets really noticed.

In my opinion, if someone loves Scaring the Hoes they cannot complain about the mix of an album and use that as a solid criticism when that album is distorting like crazy and an entire artist can’t be heard on almost a single song. In comparison to the mixing of that project Igor is cleaner than a tenth wipe.

With EARFQUAKE, apparently Tyler wanted someone else to sing the chorus (Rihanna or someone), and the vocals used in the song were the demo vocals. I guess he sent the demo to people who he wanted on that track and they either didn’t get back to him or they just weren’t interested? Either way, Tyler did end up just using the demo vocals. I think all things considered it’s pretty cool that he did that, and I think it works. The song grew on me, but I totally get your problems with the vocals lol.
