I was using a few different budget wireless systems. They were ok, but I noticed some of them would change the tone slightly. They would drop out randomly or the batteries would die at the worst time. I finally got a Shure wireless system. Game changer. Highly recommend spending the $600 for the Shure. Worth every penny. If I use cable only use Mogami Gold cables.

The Ammoon wireless I use has a horrible battery. The transmitter is effectively dead; I have to tether it to a power bank, which I keep in my pocket. It's bulky, but I did it for the sake of the experiment, haha. Shure sure is pricey (pun intended) but indeed, I've heard rave reviews. Which one do you have? I see a popular one is the pedalboard mounted one that doubles as a tuner.

Wireless always have the issue of latency, when there is a lag in the signal. I'm still a firm believer in having a wired system.

I hear you. I do experience some latency with the Ammoon but it's very mild (and kinda evens out since I'm a natural rusher and with the lag it corrects my rhythm a bit), only problematic with shred music. And also...I spent a lot on my cables. I have a vested interest haha.

I use the NUX 2.4 system at home for easy practice but I don't think I would trust it on stage - too many Wifi frequencies flying around these days. There's quite a difference between it and just a 2 meter straight wired cable. I have to dial Sunday tone in with the cable at home. Not only is the NUX clearer but also a little more gain. Maybe their 5.8 ghz version would be better on stage?

I get you, especially since everyone carries a giant 2.4 transmitter/receiver in their pocket (phones). I’m fortunate to be on a stage where it’s far away from the congregation, but if I stand too close to the stage box housing all our vocals’ wireless receivers, I get drop outs too. My church uses 5ghZ for the stage ops WIFI, so I think the 5.8 will have similar problems…

The cable emulation setting is unique to the POD Go Wireless and the higher end wireless units like the G50. It’s not on the Helix, unfortunately.

Especially that top end! The Bullet cable does have its use when I use very bright amp models like Marshalls.
