Yeah, the "mudbucker" style pickup sounds deliciously good, but.. WIAT, THAT F**@1N' bridge 😬?! ...nope, that bridge was the reason because I switched from a Gibson/Epiphone to a Tokai (China) Thunderbird: the second has the Fender-style bridge, and sounds great too! Nice review Jonny, get yourself a beer! 🍻

When you did that first demo 4m43s the sound was almost like a phasing effect, very cool.

I’ve had 2 basses with that bridge I no longer have them - otherwise looks great. the other Revo you had looks cool too

Is the body hollow like the jack cassidy? Or dies it have a thicker center block? Gorgeous sounding/looking bass

I know Vintage are trying to go their own way (for once) but offset horns just don't look right on a semi acoustic. As for the 3 point bridge which everybody seems to complain about, what's the problem with it?

@@kingstumble the 3 point bridge means you can’t accurately set the action of each string like normal saddles. The entire bridge pivots instead

Better to just say this is a piece of junk. You are making excuses for it the entire way. If you can only get a decent sound with a little drive and a pick, there is a major problem. Alan Entwistle pickups are generally junk. Not even sure why companies use his name as a selling point. Is it just because he shares a last name with John? lol. The bass tones from video are terrible. Every setting you tried. There are several budget semi-hollows that sound much better. The Ibanez Artcores come to mind, as well as the Gretsch budget basses. Any semi-hollow from Japan in the 70’s beats the living daylights out of this bass, and they can be found for about the same price.

Looks lovely, but not sure I need a hollow body. Love the brand though, they consistently make solid gear at affordable prices, their unique Joe Doe and Revo guitars and basses are especially lovely to look at. Best of all, their custom shop offers the best value I’ve come across yet, and now I’m trying my best to resist buying more every payday…
