One of the funniest parts is that when Soos closed the door on the memory of Stan in the vending machine, he said "Boring" because he is Bill Cipher in disguise, and Bill Cipher already knows what's behind there. It also makes his reaction to Stan's "most secret memory" funnier.

While property law doesn't work that way anywhere else in the world, apparently Quentin Trembley introduced the 'finders keepers law' in Gravity Falls which makes it so that simple posession of the title deed is enough to determine ownership, regardless of any applicable signatures.

Fun fact: Stan actually got married to a woman called ‘Marilyn’ briefly and comments about her pointed golden tooth, and really pale skin, and her shirt that read ‘30 and flirty’. They got married at Vegas after Stan won a bunch of money and the next day ‘Marilyn’ stole he’s winnings, Stan calls her “the one that got away, because she literally got away” and it’s heavily implied that that Marilyn is Eda of TOH.

At last! The moment we've all been waiting for. Mosco finally meets the evil Dorito, the diabolical triangle, the Illuminati symbol himself, and best villain, if not best character in _Gravity Falls,_ it's BILL CIPHER!!! Seriously, I cannot stress enough how much I absolutely love this guy, and I love that the voice Alex Hirsch gave him is literally the same one he'd later give King Clawthorne, just with added demonic reverb. Oh and Mosco. "Remember! Reality's an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold! Byeeee!”

One aspect I noticed when watching this back in the day, Gideon has no real idea of the danger he is in as he has Journal 2 which just talks about summoning him, but Dipper has journal 3 so...the author learned NOT to summon Bill at some point between those pages. Although you'd think after meeting him once you'd go, "yeah, this is not a stable individual, probably not a good idea to make deals with this thing".

Dana Terrace did storyboards for Gravity Falls (and then Alex Hirsch tagged along to voice characters for the Owl House), so you'll see a lot of cross-pollination of ideas between the two. Amphibia, too, which has a literal Gravity Falls crossover episode.

Fun fact: According to the official Journal 3, there were a couple of memories Dipper ran into offscreen that he never talked about: Stan's Bar-Mitzvah at the age of 12. (He wore Groucho Marx glasses to the temple. His dad was pretty upset.) Stan celebrating a birthday by himself watching Cash Wheel and eating 'Unlucky Leprechaun' cereal directly out of the box. (Apparently, his birthday is June 15th.) A lot of memories about an empty swing set on a beach... Stan teaching a young Soos how to box. And Stan's short-lived marriage to a waitress named Marilyn Rosenstein. They were wedded in Vegas for 48 hours, but it turns out she just wanted to steal his car. (It's been implied by fans and Owl House itself that 'Marilyn' was none other than _Eda the Owl Lady_ on one of her trips to the human world. Dipper even refers to her as 'a true scam artist'.)

One thing I love about Gideon is that he and dipper are 2 sides of the same coin, my all time favourite literary trope. They both have journals, they're both geniuses in a town full of idiots and they both have crushes on girls much older than them. But while Dipper uses his journal for knowledge and self-defence, Gideon uses his for personal gain. Dipper is mild mannered and kind to others while Gideon is a brat with anger issues who treats his parents horribly. Gideon seems intimidating but at the end of the day he's just a child whereas Dipper seems weak and pathetic on the outside but inside is a pure blooded hero

Dipper and Mabel end up in Amphibia The reunion between Stan and his ex-wife Eda is really weird, but it fits really well with both of their characters Dipper and Mabel start living with Anne and the Plantars until Bill arrives and brings everyone back

This definitely wasn't one of those "filler" type episodes. This one answered some question only to create more or as you've noticed and almost exploded over, leave us hanging. In the end, Stan's mind wasn't that scary a place.

I gotta say Mosco, it's such a treat watching you try to work it out. Gravity Falls is a great mystery, and you have exactly the right approach to get the most enjoyment out of it. Also: I believe I've said this before, but never for a second start believing in the things you say about yourself being a moron etc. You continue to impress with how observant and clever you are - even when you're on the wrong track, you usually are so for a very good reason.

To be honest, the hallway of doors in a dreamworld/mind of a person is a wellknown trope used by many, many series. From the top of my head I can't think of many concrete examples, but it has existed for a long time, just like body swapping and personal clones. Think of the dreamworld of american dragon for example.
