Eat, sleep, lift, repeat! Trying to gain as much natty muscle as possible. What are the results of going bear mode after 3 months?

For me it didn't lol. I accidentally ate more food and more processed food for like 3 weeks and although I gained muscle, the most of it was fat. I felt bloated, fat and shit in general. Being ripped feels so much better for me not only aesthetically but also for my everyday life.

Your looking great brother 👍🏼dont risk anything with a bad back. I’ve had back problems for the last 3 to 4 years that have totally changed the way I live/move. My injury came from heavy lifting and not focusing on keeping strong core and back form. I was just young and strong and didn’t care about my body and I’ll probably be stuck paying for it most of my adult life. Listen to your body if it’s hurting my man 🙏🏼

A suggestion that may help with your squats/back issue. Using a trap bar for squats and deadlifts. This is how I do all of my leg exercises at home now. It'll take a lot of pressure and compression off your spin. But you still do have to be careful. I'll feel that twinge in my back if I start going to heavy. But Ive had way less injury moving to the trap bar!! (I found some cheap trap bars on Amazon)

This is an awesome video, Lucas. I would love to see an update down the road (once you've surrendered to the urge to lean out again lol) comparing your size then to what it was at the beginning of your bulk. I think you are getting impressive results with the methods you've been using. I really respect and appreciate the work you put into both this channel and your health and wellness. I'm inspired by you. 👍👍 Oh, and I would also love to watch a full progression over all the years you've been recording your progress on KZfaq. Lucas! I ditched my pillow 1.5 years ago and my sleep quality has gone through the roof, the first 2 weeks-2 months are really annoying but since I've gotten used to it I've never slept better! I have gone back to my pillow for a week or few days at a time but my sleep always gets noticeably worse. Now I just sleep flat on my mattress or with a pillow to elevate my feet(rarely). I never wake up with stiffness or a sore neck anymore (unless it was just neck day) and I barely move in my sleep anymore as well. I almost always wake up exactly as I fell asleep, well rested, and before my alarms. I would like to see your thoughts on sleeping without a pillow. If you do try it I would say stick with it for a couple months because you may need time to kill the pillow addiction and get used to sleeping flat on your back. If you can persevere the initial discomfort its so worth it, it has been lifechanging for me! But you gotta focus!
@TheDarkSkorpion
@TheDarkSkorpion 18 күн бұрын
I agree, I didn't completely ditch my pillow but I switched to a much thinner soft memory foam pillow. It's only about 2 inches thick at its thickest and contoured so it just supports the back of your neck and hardly raises your head at all. No more stiff neck, better sleep and I seem to breathe easier as opposed to having my neck bent with a normal pillow.

Here are some video suggestions for you: only plyometrics workouts exercises in cold environment vs hot environment intensily stretch after a workout (Ive heard it could boost muscle growth) contract and extend your muscles quickly. Its like plyometrics + flexing ( example: quickly extend and contract your arm, so your biceps and triceps) You stretch half of your body every single day, and the other half you don't. So half tight, half flexible muscles

Hey, I love the idea of continuing to bulk. It's cool to see you getting stronger, and you look way more jacked. First though, I would highly recommend a 6-week fat loss phase, maybe 2 months. Another round of bulking and you'll start to get a little extra skin, which never goes away, and you'll lose any ab and muscle definition. Another 15-20 pounds and suddenly running sucks, your knees hurt all the time, your face looks different, and pullups are significantly more difficult. For someone who has been as lean as you have as long as you have, and enjoys being a bodyweight beast, that's gonna be a big mental hit. Potential depression trigger type stuff. And what you don't want is to be at your heaviest, be unhappy with your body, and start eating to cope. 5 years later, you're 280 and don't know how you got there. Happens all the time. Take 6-8 weeks, trim down some of the fat, and then repeat. 4 month bulk where you gain 10-20 lbs. 2 month cut where you lose 10-20 pounds. Twice a year.

Definitely continue on what you're doing. You can manipulate the calories a bit if you think your gaining too much fat. Looks like your making solid progress but you need to stay with it or whatever muscle and strength you've gained won't stick. Maybe for fun try a warm up 75x2 and then 85 or 90 max reps, i think you get more stimulus kinda like HIT training concept

I struggle with the weight gain-core ratio thing too. My desire for cut abs and a less bulky core had me way overdoing boxing training a few years ago which was great for my athleticism and technique but terrible for bodybuilding. Looking back at the progress pictures the aesthetics of my core was the only thing that improved while my arms and chest slimmed down. I have this vague notion in my head that if I lean more into chest and arm lifting workouts that my body ratio will be less focused on my core while bulking (and I remember from a few years back that benching everyday did a lot for pronouncement). Anyways nice results and see where the healthy bulk takes you. BEAR MODE FOREVER BABY

Bulk is looking good. Probably want to go for another 60-90 days then cut back down for the summer, 100% will hit those 90s in the meantime. keep it up. My read on all the minimum dose research coming out is that adopting a "seasonal" approach will let us work on multiple specificities (Lifting, Cal skills, MA, Running, etc) while keeping the rest on "maintenance" for months or longer just hitting them once a week.

I love your work! I have an idea for a new camera angle on your videos..Using the best thermal camera you can afford (”Flir” is a well known company on the internet ) , you could point it at the muscles as you are weight lifting or aerobic workouts..I am suggesting the best you can get as it could POSSIBLY really show the individual muscles as they get hot from use..You could possibly really see the muscles change color as they are activated..I have seen only one video doing this and it is low quality on KZfaq, but it does show them doing an aerobic workout..The point they showed is how the arms seemed to get cold first, then they get hot as they take off heat with the hands getting really hot even not on the handle bars..If anything it is going to be some really cool new thermal image video angles to add to your awesome channel!

One pot meals in a really big pressure cooker and maybe a huge smoothie will save you a ton of time and work. You just need to put together enough variety so you don't get bored with them. I did it with 2 or 3, but it did get a little boring after a while, adding the smoothie later on helped a lot. Maybe 5 or 6 would last a lot longer. It's just a little bit of a challenge to balance everything you need and have 5, 6, 7 unique one pot meals. I was just a little lazy to come up with more lol.

You should try only train unweighted calisthenics for like a week, or 2 weeks. From personal experience: I’ve been going to the gym for a few years now. I had a good schedule and was training every muscle very well but it was making slow slow progress. My gym membership got cancelled because I had no money so I switched to calisthenics. (Pullups, push-ups etc.) and I noticed my back and chest (and other muscles but mainly those 2) got bigger, way faster than when I did freeweights. I made more progress in 2 months training body weight then when I did going to the gym for half a year.
