I just wanna play a cool build. Looking at the draft realm and seeing all these lego enchants and builds and raiding, it looks super cool. Then I try it, realise it will take like 15 hours to level to max, then I have no enchants at all, nevermind the one I actually wanted to use, because I have no mystic bullshit currency. I have no skill cards and I can't buy them because I have no gold, nor do I have gold for potions of exp. so now I have to farm gold on a character I don't want to play just to be able to prestige and level again, then I need to farm prestiges to get heirlooms to be able to prestige better, then I still need to farm mystic currency, then I get the actual build I want eventually, then I actually need to farm gear. Fuck me, no thank you. It's WAY too complex, there are too many variables you need to learn. Skill cards, golden skill cards, lucky skill cards, mystic orbs, reforging, mystic runes, prestiges, mystic enchants, gear, gold, heirlooms, talents, respec scrolls, dealer's draft deck, hands of fate and that weird confusing UI... All of this shit is standing in the way of actually playing the game that they've designed and using the builds and it sucks. PLUS I KEEP GETTING BOMBARDED WITH GEAR SO I NEED TO CONSTANTLY PLAY INVENTORY TETRIS AND GO VENDOR SHIT AND OPEN SATCHELS! It's so unfun! Then you realise you can't upgrade your skills without finding another player with a bloody book of ascension, ANOTHER THING I NEED TO FARM GOLD FOR, GREAT. No dungeon quests because if a person actually has a khadgar head they summon it for a nanosecond and then unsummon it again so I can't even take the quests. Everything in ascension exists just to tempt you and then take it away. Ideally, I'd want to start working on my build right from level 1, and make the entire levelling experience part of playing the build (the character) and experiencing the levelling content AS this archetype. In this way, I think the build draft experiment from league 4 was FAR, FAR superior to draft in every way, and completely changes the game in a good way, lifting the things that are fun with ascension and minimizing the bad stuff. Get rid of rng, get rid of speed levelling to get to the real content, get rid of farming for the privilege of playing your build, get rid of enchant costs and reforging, get rid of books of acsension and just give skill rank ups automatically, get rid of head of khadgar and just give dungeon quests on npcs at the instance start, get rid of satchels and let people get gear the real way, by getting it in the game world by going to specific places and doing specific quests. Get rid of skill cards, and hands of fate, Get rid of xp pots and auras, get rid of DRAFT, get rid of it all.

On the morally grey part of the horde vs alliance thing, while its true the horde did nuke a city I would remind you that the alliance massacred blood elf civilians in their homes in response. Also the alliance were the ones to shove the orcs in concentration camps, while also openly killing both the trolls and the forsaken. Yeah the horde is extreme, but so are their enemies, and both sides have done some pretty horrific stuff to each other. Edit. They also attempted to genocide the blood elfs before they were in the horde.

Haven’t been on since the start of the season, seeing how they constantly nerf the Xp gains and slow the lvling and still expect to prestige as much feels bad, longer time watcher, love the content my guy!

I'm a new player on Ascension (started last week) and honeslty just trying to understand it all took a toll, but now that I understand the system a bit better I just think that there's no way I will be able to enjoy the content because of how far back I am. I have no gear, no gold, no cards... what little gold I get I have to spend on enchants so I can have a build, but its not enough to compete so I do prestige to get marks (without any heirloom or XP pots or aura of course, cause I dont have money for that). It hasnt been long but maybe I'll just wait for Conquest of Azeroth to get a level playing field with older players. Keep up the good work!

Thank you Mcdoubles for the segment about the heirlooms, hundred of thousands of marks is really really not normal for these upgrades let alone doing sooo many prestige runs!! So glad you talked about this!

I'm super stoked for CoA, but yeah I stopped playing on the draft realm fairly quickly. Nice that it has seasons and is fresh, but locking you out of trying different things got old super fast :(. Love your coverage of CoA so far, and can't wait until it launches!

i recently started playing asc and you perfectly described my problems with it. I've been playing for a month, never even used an exp pot or an aura cause theyre too expensive, and recently bought my first nonexp heirloom just to find out its worse than anything i'd find in a dungeon

Prestige’s makes Ascension the most money. It’s their core monetary support system 655 dp per 100 usd = 6.5 dp per 1 usd (if you buy the most expensive one) Donation points per run = 25 dp for aura 10 dp for 10 xp pots =35 dp per run 35dp / 65 per dollar = 5.38usd per group of 5 prestige run Each prestige run takes 35 dp or earns ascension 5.38 dollars

I finally switched over to Area-52 after trying to roll Gurubashi Beserker and not getting all my lucky cards 8 times in a row. I'm also just over trying to roll builds tbh, it's not fun once everyone has super optimized builds trying to make new ones. Hopefully draft gets scrapped or majorly reworked next server.

Its pretty clear that the reason heirlooms and xp stuff is so expensive is that they want you to go spend real money on their shop for them the ascension team is pretty greedy when it comes to that stuff

The sad truth is that Project Ascension bases its numbers off the no-lifers. These are the people that will play Ascension basically until it is in it's grave. When I think about this, the Pareto Principle comes to mind. In other words, 20% of Ascension's player contributes 80% of the activity on the server. My suspicion, in this case, is that it is even worse like a 10/90 split. So Ascension structures things like average 1-70 leveling times, heirloom costs, etc. to the 10% of the population that are no lifers because they are influencing 90% of the activity on the server. If they catered more to the average player like you are suggesting it might make the server healthier or just create another way the no-lifers can abuse the system. To be honest, I am not opposed to that, touching on your sentiment about time being super valuable... if someone wants to dedicate hours upon hours of their life to Ascension then they should have items/privileges that a common player doesn't. Ideally, those items/privileges would eventually be attainable for the commoner as well. In this case, 60+ hours of leveling gameplay just to have faster leveling gameplay afterwards is pretty dumb lol.

I've seen this happen time and time again - Once draft reaches tbc, inflation go brrr. I'm pretty positive tbc just isn't that popular compared to vanilla. A year ago I'd ask for only 50g shares for an xp aura, as they were 250g, pots were a fart, literally 20g tops. Crazy

im glad someone else understands how it feels i took a break after the last season ended, and came back for the league. after it ended i was ready to try seasonal but immediately i was bombarded the grind walls i had to pass to enjoy the game Heirlooms are omega expensive, farming a million and one golden skill cards to roll a good build. enchants are becoming more hyper specific, just to play it and find out it sucks. realizing you have about 5 builds you can really optimally play(and not having skill cards means i gotta hit 10s to 100s of rerolls until i get a proper build. at this point ive stopped playing until they bring back the build templates they had on league 4. also area 52 dead. hard to get low level mythics going unless you find some nice people to carry you(and i hate being carried) it just fuckin sucks man.

When you were fighting the first boss in gruuls lair your spells were getting reflected which applies the gcd and doesn't effect the target because it's not going through. Trying your rotation on anything else that doesn't reflect should eliminate that issue.

8200 prestige tokens to get a FoK leveling set. Keep in mind you can use your tokens on Area 52, and for each a52 character you prestige, you get 100 more. BoA gear can also be bought with bazaar tokens, put that a52 gold to use.

@Mcdoubles I have been watching your videos on Project Ascension like so many for the past 2 days just started playing project ascension and having never played wow before I have been trying to find complete beginner guide and builds video for ascension but no videos really get in depth with what quests , lvling up course, build abilities should I be doing I keep getting lost do you think you can make a video covering all that or maybe have step by step guide on ur discord . For heirlooms I’ve only bothered with the trinkets, dreadmist, and shadowcraft set but even for me someone who prestiges like every other day (whenever the quest is open world) the prices are too high to get them all at a decent rate. Now imagine the problem for people who don’t do it as frequently. Now they do allow them to be got with marks which are easily to get granted but the prices are even worse for marks

I only played a ascension for like a year i think and i havent been able to get back into it. I prefer area 52 and if i had friends playing the game i'd probably be going full completionist on there playing a fun build that's not viable at all but fits a theme i love like TG muti or something. I have always and will always hate rng in any game. Its never a feels good as any good luck you havw is not ateibuted to you being good just lucky. Even having to farm the cards just feels like an anoying time sink i dont wana deal with I hope you feel better man. Don't wreck yourself trying to do too many things at once. Take it easy. Often you'll find your only as rushed and stressed as you are because ur spending most of the time you have worrying about it and not doing what it is ur aiming to do. Breaks are good.

Pretty sure the AH prices are just increasing due to TBC content generally giving more gold; means the DP value of pots/auras has to rise as well. The pricing on the heirlooms are enough to make a toughest man weep. If your calculations on prestiges were for purely the base set; then requiring to upgrade each piece for the actual XP bonus, which if not changed is still 3% per piece (Granted multiplicative, so increasing values), would require twice as many - Only way to shorten that would be through marks, but I wouldn't expect anyone to get an heirloom through marks before atleast 8-10 runs through, depending on the quality. The best part is ofc at the end of season, those heirlooms transfer over to the permanent realm, having to make you buy the vanity sync to actually get it back on seasonal, or; have fun prestiging 50+ times again. if your toons from past seasons on a52 have alot of tokens - you can bu ythe upgrades over there - and vanity sync them over to thrall - its what ive done xP

Your Mindflay was cancelled because the boss reflects it. That's what happens when a channled spell gets reflected

There shouldn’t be heirloom upgrades. Should buy one and have it give the XP or IF there is upgrades, it should be significantly cheaper (or even free) for the base heirlooms.

First boss has reflect as one of his mechanics in gruul. Which in pretty sure was the reason it kept interrupting. You see can see him reflecting your mind flay.

talking about heirlooms, not sure if it's in a video, because i am at that part where you calculate heirlooms. If you played previous season, and you did, go to area 52, get heirlooms, and use vanity sync on seasonal.

For all wanting to play this server just know it's not new player friendly. Not the people the game. To be able to save enchants to the altar, you need a currency for it in 4 weeks of playing. I still have found how to get more of it. Cards are hard to get, and u can't choose the ones u want. So just beware of that, but the community is great

You get 300g from completing a narcolepsy or spellbind roulette trial, not to mention 80k marks! This in turn has increased the cost of auras I think.

But McDoubles, did you know you can also spend Marks of Ascension to upgrade the heirloom gear? Don't look a the prices... you did enough math with the tokens, what you'll see on Nozdromu's wares will make your jaw drop

I've successfully completed my initial month of playing Ascension, and I wholeheartedly concur. As a newcomer, the learning curve and the exorbitant costs associated with gear and skill cards can be disheartening. While the game offers an enjoyable and unique experience, there's a pressing need to address these issues. I've gone through the prestige process ten times in my quest to accumulate more heirlooms, and at times, it's left me wondering if this is a bit too overwhelming.

I dont know if seeing the math on heirlooms makes me feel better or worse, I've only just got my first 2h weapon 😂 Keep up the vids though mate Gromnar

This video reminded me of why I quit Ascension. Ascension WoW is a business model, not a "fun" game. It is a game, but not designed to be "fun" for you, it's designed to be PROFITABLE for them. They do what they do to prolong your stay there and be part of their VERY WELL MADE economy eco-system. They give you random chances everywhere so your "runs" feel different each time, they give you the disappointment factor which YOU yourself will feel like you must "get better" to fix, through their VERY WELL MADE Marks of Ascension system and Tokens of Prestige. Everything is tailored to you bringing and spending gold in their economy and pumping up the demand and supply of Potions of Exp/Aura of Exp (aka their Premium Currency) which IN THE END brings them more revenue. They will NOT stop for anything or anyone until they feel like what they do has a HUGE backlash from the community (which would mean less revenue for them). The model will continue for years and years and trick players into thinking that they are progressing in a game where your END GOAL is Prestiging again. Don't even log into this time waster. It's worse than what League of Legends does to people. And that game REALLY has NOTHING to give the player.

Loved the calculator part. One thing you missed is let’s say on average someone does 1 prestige a day. In your scenario it would take 25 days to get the full gear. At the rate content is coming out from today we will be in a new tier raid, almost into next mythic dungeon brackets and most likely a lot of classless updates changing builds. So, the time spent to enjoy end game gets diminished trying to get a new build AND you’re closer to the end of the season where said heirloom gear will be literal junk. This is the case unless next season they allow for heirlooms to be accountbound and you have them at the start or available once xp pots and auras are usable.

Honestly bro, I know Ascension is your main thing but I would recommend trying the Classic Hardcore official blizzard servers. I didn't want to play but my buddy was on so I decided to try, and I was pleasantly surprised! It completely changes the game! The way other servers do it is you have the choice to be hardcore or not and there's that division there, but on these servers everybody's in the same boat and there's such a sense of community. I watched a Mok'gora in Goldshire this evening and a Guildmaster was publicly executed via a duel because he apparently got somebody killed, and there were probably 100 spectators haha! I dunno! Could be worth giving it a shot! It's painful to die but it's addicting and everybody just keeps trying 😂👌 P.S. if you do don't chill in the caves for too long, death traps.

you kind of just did all the math to prove something i have been saying for about the last two years. ascension isn't friendly, it isn't friendly to new players, it isn't friendly to grinders, it isn't friendly to vets, it is just friendly to people who can afford to do nothing but spend all of their time doing the same thing over and over again. also the lore of auchindoun is so much worse than you think. it wasn't a city, it was the burial temple of the draenei were the souls of the dead would linger to guide and aide the draenei. the fact that some people in lore use those still remaining souls to fuel stuff like summoning a hyper powerful void being capable of destroying planets (which is kinda fucked because blizz kind of states it takes a lot of power to summon an imp -something very weak- and requires more power the more powerful something is.)

Yea dude, go to Area 52. You do fantastic theory crafted builds but like you pointed out its almost impossible to get everything you need. Area 52 will save you TIME and let you fine tune to perfection. Plus, I would love to see the give away on my server lol.

A problem I'm increasingly having with Epic REs (though since WFE are really all they're releasing now it's more common among them), is that most that transform a skill or grant a skill are completely useless. Since 80% of a build's power exists with the LRE now, if the ERE isn't just acting as a damage modifier on the existing rotation that the LRE supports, then overwhelmingly it's just useless. Half of them don't grant any meaningful benefit in themselves. Like for example, in what world does Atal'ai Totem benefit ANY build? When you could instead just take a more generic option. In the past you might have an entire build based around maximizing the mechanics of an ERE, but now all of those pivotal mechanics are locked into LREs, which have so much power packed into them, that they also need to add in numerous restrictions on accessing the specific mechanic you want. The closest thing that still exists for that is a stormgarde slam build like the one you posted. However, even then that's ONLY possible because at some point they added slam to the RE, since it was previously only shield slam and shield of righteousness. There are numerous other WFE that are completely useless, because the LREs now want to restrict the scope of a build, while the transformative EREs want to expand it.

btw once you buy all these heirlooms for the 21% more exp bonus you are still not doing a 1 pot run if you are doing dungeon 1-70 split runs so to the avg person who plays and pretiges getting them wouldnt matter really now they do matter when you are trying to speed run and do a 1 pot run by open world questing (its what we do now

Î think prestiging with a prestige build in pvp is crazy fun, in fact its one of the most enjoyable experiences for me on ascension. But even at that, you might want to try different builds that require different items. (thats the point of the server) So issue is not having to do 20+ prestiges for a set! The issue is that the set you have limits your ability to try different builds unless you farm another set which is another investment of 20 runs. Having a 25-50 hour grind for something that lasts on your account forever is not bad, in fact, it is actually really healthy for an MMO. But doing that x4 is really stupid. Maybe a solution would be that the items could be refundable so that you can buy other sets. Good video

Maybe they expect you to buy it with marks of ascension and tokens of prestige. Not much better because that means fewer rerolls during the prestiges.

I feel like part of the lack in dps is the rotation being pretty much 90% filler, there’s nothing in the background behind the smite/holy fire and mind flay to add damage. So like for holy damage maybe pick up some paladin dot effects, or even consecration for aoe and for added shadow damage you can take shadow word pain, vampiric touch, etc. then, you could maybe snag life tap and enervate for mana. Idk if that will work but it’s worth trying. I can’t play to make the build myself so go ahead and try it out and lmk how it goes

I tried this enchant last week and came to the same conclusion. It has a nice theme to it, but nothing supports the playstyle. There is no special ''twilightform'' that lets you cast holy inside shadowform, and all the build really is, is just smite and shadow flay/sear. You just get a bonus with twilight damage for 10 seconds after 30 seconds of trying to set up. As to the inflation part, I haven't thrown any money to this game yet, and my ingame cash stack isn't high, so I haven't used any xp pots or whatever. But I can see why people are upset. The only thing I can say about it, is that people are greedy. People put them at that price in the AH, and other people buy it. And because people are buying these prices, the sellers are trying to make more money so they up the prices even more. Ascension is not newplayer friendly when it comes to prices. I barely made enough to get one of my characters to where he could use a flying mount. Though I rarely care about the prices, since I'm not trying to do things te fast way, so I just keep grinding until I do have to money. Anyway, I always love the video's. Such great energy to listen to, and always giving me a direction to think of builds. Keep doing what you're doing.

I mean I said it a few years ago... They need to revamp leveling. Leveling should be one of the most exciting parts of the game, where you get to see all the different cool things that could show up and try to get a feel for your character could turn out to be. Instead it's all about finding a min-maxed mouth-breathing group with 5 people fully kitted in Auras, XP pots, Heirlooms etc. And it's because there's real money involved. Then after you spend 3 hours finding a group, you go in and the Servers crash and the entire thing is high tension and just not fun at all. Ascension will never do it because it makes them so much money but they need to get rid of the XP Pots and XP Auras and all that. It makes the leveling process so unfun because when real money is involved people will always been tense and min-maxed to kingdom come. Edit: And after watching the video through... A lot of people who will be trying to get the Heirlooms that you estimated at 60 hours won't be able to get into 2 hour speedrun groups BECAUSE they don't have the heirlooms. So It'll be like 5-8 hours for those people per run. Meaning it's actually like 200-300 hours if thats ALL that you do in the game. And you probably can't afford the XP items if it's all your doing instead of spending time making money or doing end-game content. The price of Heirlooms and Leveling and all that is just so atrocious in the name of money. I really don't think they'll fix it but they need to or they won't keep players. They'll burn out.

concerning heirloom although the cost is way too high, you don't need 1200 for dual wield. You can buy 1 dagger and 1 trinket, and duplicate them using vanity tab. For 1 set of gear you need daggers trinkets breastplate shoulders bow that's 4000k, 8k if you want the usable stuff every time you want to test a new archetype get ready to spend 2k more If you count 30 run and 1 quest every 2 run that's a month as you can only do 1 quest a day and you don't always get the one you want.

You should get 1 heirloom token per prestige. Maybe a chest that includes an heirloom token or piece or something.

Here's hoping for a big rework for this enchant. I love the concept (shadow/holy hybrid) and have tried to make it work, but being locked into a (somewhat buggy) channel for extremely meh damage just feels bad

been having misinput problems as well. I can't tell if it's the abilities or the buttons I use, but some seem not to have a lockout for held presses and just cycle the click every couple of ms

You did the math for like 20% of the server who does aura runs with pots and shit too. Most players and pretty much all new players don't even use pots and aura

I agree with everything at the beginning, I would go even further and say that most mechanics in Ascension are there just to waste time Like reforge wastes a lot of time. Redraft (owning a dealers draft deck) should just be freepick, because you will be drafting until your first 4 abilities come anyway, so might aswell have us pick freely. Reset on hearthstone after every prestige (now it is to your race's initial zone, so you can no longer have it at Shatt or SW/Org

I thought that in one of the leagues when you prestiged you were always offered the ability you previously took at that level, and I loved that idea.

I had a bad experience with a few of the devs in a 1wk period due to my lack of understanding that the quest that require you to be one of the OG classes will never be available in the Classes version of the game as a Hero class. I felt like they could have made that clear from the 1st ticket I sent if they understood all I wanted was the pet in the cage to tame because he/she had a different look for Ravengers. But I am just done with expecting those devs to care.

DP prices are awful on both servers. I remember when I started a year or two ago on Area52 it was 30-40g per dp, when I stopped playing a few months ago it was around 150g++ per dp. I know it makes more sense for A52, but there are enough farmers and whales on the draft server that it's not too surprising.

Besides the already ridiculous prices for heirlooms, I really don't understand WHY they're all different prices. Weapons and armour are just as important as eachother and having a 400 prestige point difference in them makes little to no sense. 400 is almost enough for another piece. I opted for just buying the trinkets for a 6% XP boost and call it at that. The rest of them I get is going on the mounts.

I used to main Twilight Paragon in Ascended TK and SSC about a year ago on A52, and did really good damage. I wonder if they messed with the tuning or something. I never had mana issues but I was using mana gems (Had the Sextant of Unstable Currents trinket that turns the gems into a DPS cooldown) and Moonkin form. Another thought: I would love to join the Ascension team to try and be a fresh set of eyes for some of these builds that should be really interesting, fun and effective. I submitted an application two days ago but so far no word back. I love the potential that Classless (and CoA, and Vanilla+) has and I want to help achieve that potential if I can.

My 2nd comment is, I'm 100% with you. I don't want to log into ascension anymore ever run I do in prestige I see the same sweats over and over again and they are in all meta. Everything is super expensive, the fun level is not there. I'm actually looking more forward to duskhaven coming out than ascension fixing their issues.

as an int caster you could always use 3 Dreamstate blue enchants and the dreamstate balance druid talent, you may not get all the moonking form scaling with spirit and stuff for haste and sp. remember you can always buy droughts from nozdormu with 150 mystic runes or 150 gold, saves a LOT. the prices of everything bought with custom ascension currencies except enchant stuff is through the roof, like 90k marks for A SINGLE BASIC AGI DAGGER. i'm a casual and i could only bought that cause in league 4 i didn't need to waste WEEKS of daily dungeons to roll for just tremor totem, like, HOW?!. also pls recomend me any healer that's could be considered to feel fast, to remind me of disc priest from legion onwards, that just means that i want a healer that heal desling damage to enemies, i've been trying atonement but i have no way to keep my bears alive even when they don't los me, is vampire lord a good option? - Jocho or Mocho

I entirely agreed with your frustrations when you got to that mythic dungeon. I really love the idea of Ascension but one thing that super bothers me is the lie of building your class fantasy. You aren't playing some class you made up, you are playing some legendary enchant that the game devs came up with and have no idea on how to balance. And the moonkin form thing is super frustrating - I do not want to be a moonkin, but if you aren't using moonkin form as a spellcaster you are almost always severely hampering yourself. I really hope they keep the mystic enchanting system far, far away from COA

mcdoubs u got me to reinstall ascension on the new set up. but im playing coa to see thr changes. Its crazy how much they've changed things in a year. Wish ud really do some more deep diving on coa. sometimes feel the ascension teams speeds them self to much and that's why coa isn't getting done. U got wrath around the corner, the new season, and coa.. Its like Coa always the back burner

I feel like you make some very good points in this video, but I also feel you fall victim to the fact that you literally ONLY play draft mode. Draft mode is what it is… ultimately it’s an experiment for the sake of experimenting. Implementing randomness in skill choices is not an adequate way of achieving balancing classless WoW. There may have been a time where draft mode was more effective in balancing the game, perhaps even more fun than free pick, but that simply just isn’t the case anymore, and I’d argue that it never was. These days I play area 52 exclusively for the fact that the fun in classless WoW for me is playing with the CLASSLESS aspect of the game, not having it gatekept from me behind artificially implemented randomness. I like making and working on my builds, i like trying out other people’s complete builds, and I don’t like being forced to prestige based on nothing but RNG not giving me a specific skill that I need for my build. Free pick mode offers all of these things, and truthfully it always has, whereas draft mode appeals to the human desire to gamble and get “lucky”. Sure, there is a lot of “meta” builds in the freepick realm, but honestly there is just as much meta on the draft realm, it’s just gatekept behind dozens of sweaty prestige runs. In an MMO like wow there will invariably be meta builds at all times. Just let me have access to the meta, use an OP build to farm some gear, and eventually I’ll get bored of it and maybe from that boredom something new and original will be born. Maybe it won’t be meta, but it will feel custom and more tailored to how I like to play.

The inflation is just a side effect of server going from Vanilla to TBC. Not even trying you earn like 5 times the gold in TBC content compared to Vanilla just doing dungeon and raid grinding, and for people who are willing to farm certain easily farmable things that everyone needs and most are too lazy to go farm themselves (like scryer/aldor rep items) you can not only make yourself rich from AHing said items, but the raw gold from the process of farming said items is being generated and inflating the economy even more.

Finally I got to unlock a secret of what build you leveled with me during this prestige xD (Im Mahrash). Yeah, that unluckiest prestige ever was really fun.

The reduced XP rates made me stop playing personally. I like being level 70 once I'm maxxed, but, seriously leveling takes too long, especially when you can't find a good group for it.

Price per DP has always always always been higher / inflated on the servers that are TBC. A52 has had upwards of 145g per DP prices at times, usually goes up around new content releases.

Wait I just realized, you can get to max in 2 hours on ascension?

When I first started playing on ascension a year ago, I thought this is cool, I can build my own custom class and have fun doing a lot of damage since I can pick whatever I wanted.(I started playing on area 52. But realize after a few months that you can have fun that way, but your probably never going to top the dps charts. Unless you play a meta build or a variant of a meta build. It would be nice if they could even the power across all L.r.e's. Not all L.r.e's are created equal.

I think you’re underestimating the extra effort required to deal with the random enchant balancing vs something like retail or CoA
