I feel it’s more than just being really good at something. It’s also gotta be entertaining in some way to America that you can get a live show in Vegas. I mean, we’re kinda biased since we watch EMC videos, but shredding on tenors can only get you so far

This is so sad. I’ve been a percussionist for 6 years now and Drumline member for 2 years and I’m no where near Eric’s talent. The fact the judges said the drumming needed to be better and more serious after he sent 10 banging drum videos just shows AGTs flaws. Just come back stronger than ever next year

That's the main reason i don't like AGT anymore. They picked the most clownlike out his 10 acts, and the overall acts are curated to be mostly weridos. Even when there is a seriously good musician the edited cheers during a long note or climax ruins the performance

I honestly don’t know why AGT is still on the air. They lost the plot years ago. It feels so antiquated in the 2020s.

@@JoshuaWillis89 AGT didn't lose plot, they intentionally added it themselves. While I haven't ever watched the show, I've seen clips and comments on the show, and it looks like they have a soft spot for kids and people you want to root for, like people who have a motivating backstory, or a kid that can play the piano but is blind.

AGT has started to do this thing where they have a joke act, then a serious act, and they really edit the joke act. Like when they had a Korean singing group “Korean Soul,” they had a not as great boy band go right before them, and they change their sound quality in the mic to sound not as good. It’s probably just to make the next act seem really good, but at the cost of making someone else look bad.

I live in New Braunfels, Texas and every year we have an event called wurstfest (My city is of German heritage) and we always dance to the chicken dance. Also your eye makeup looked similar to the German flag so if you wanted to really show off this act, come on down to new braunfels, we’d love to have you!

Sort of sad that the only interest in percussion these competitions have is just basically meme fodder. It's no wonder why popular music is 90% 4-on-the-floor programmed drums and even something as simple as a basic poly like Reggeaton gets it's own little niche but only if you *NEVER* step aside from that slow 3 vs 4 poly Reggeaton is known for.

We need to contact AGT to allow the whole marine line perform to show how talented our men are!! I would hate for the season to go by and Eric be just a guy in a chicken suit. Maybe during one of the later live shows they can bring you back with a real backup of the Marine drum line!! We can’t let the internet think our Marines are a joke. Eric I love your sense of humor and appreciate the chops you’ve got. The world needs to see how freaking cool drumming is! Ps: im glad Nick Cannon wasn’t there to say how he did drumline better.

Next year, same gag, BUT after the first chorus, when the judges start having flashbacks to this performance, go to rest or cadence while a couple dozen corps drummers enter from offstage... then blow them away. Also, make sure you tell Heidi that you took her advice and signed up for drum lessons. Lol

Those judges were some idiots. With Eric's following not only on youtube but with Marines too, they'd fool around and lose ratings treating him like that; especially with that ignorant comment about Eric's drumming needs to get better. I rank that as the ignorant comment of the year; given that he plays for the MARINE drum and bugle corps and they knew that shit!

Ok, here what you do for next season. Audition as masked guy and shred your way through to the later rounds keeping yourself anonymous. Then after you're far in and well established in the competition. Take off the mask and uniform revealing "drumstick the drumming chicken" again and play the chicken dance song again.
