I Went to a Reptile Expo, Here’s What I Bought!

Күн бұрынJoin me as I tour the first Toronto Reptile Expo of 2022! There were so many beautiful animals! I picked up a new reptile for a breeding project, along with some plants and supplies!

Thank you You Tube algorithms for finding you. I'm all for supporting the local reptiletubers. I bought this beautiful peacock clubmoss at the expo. It's very colourful and I'm looking forward to it growing and taking over my vivarium.

Just cause the cups where plastic didn't mean they have to be disposed lol I use my daughters playdough lids as nice Little dishes. The metal ones are nice through :)

Interesting! It's interesting to see the price tickets on some of the Animals compared to the prices here in the UK. Although to be honest I don't have a clue what Canadian $s are compared to British £s. I like the enclosures that you have for your Ackie and whatever else is behind you in the video.

Yes I have seen prices on videos at some of the shows in the USA. They are pretty low compared to prices here even for Animals that are unavailable here. Though Facebook friends have told me that the food is expensive compared to here. I was surprised when I saw the price of Rats for example. (Please ignore the last message it went wrong and sent before it was complete, sorry.)

Nice video! Do you use the Substratum on its own or mixed with other substrates? What type of terrarium do you use it for? I just started trying it out, mixed in with Reptisoil and playsand.

Thank you so much! 😊 I mix the Exo-Terra Substratum with other types of substrate. I’ve noticed an improvement in plant growth/health since I’ve started incorporating it in my substrate! I’ve heard that it works well on its own too. So far, I’ve used it in bioactive setups for New Caledonian geckos and tree frogs! 😁

I live in Canada, so the leaves are under a few feet of snow and ice at the moment. Buying that bag of leaf litter also helped support a small business, which is something I like to do whenever I can. Thank you for watching! 😊
