I cried in both cities. And I think you would have too.
Everyone is talking about Oppenheimer and The Atomic Bomb. But people are not talking about the only two cities in the world that went through a Nuclear disaster. Well, this is their story.

I am Japanese and a victim of the 311 Great East Japan Earthquake. I was still young at the time, so my memories are hazy, but I strongly remember the fear, pain, and the sadness of having my house washed away by the tsunami and losing my beloved dog. What I remember most of all is the American soldiers who came to the disaster area to help. They were kind and big, and seemed more reliable than any hero. Thank you for helping me back then. No matter what happened in past history, for me, the images of those soldiers I saw when I was a child are the image of America.

@indrabora8575 . . . You clearly don't understand about Japan or its history. Today, Japan is a wonderful country, but it was not always that way. Let me set the record straight: On December 7, 1941 Japan bombed Pearl Harbor WITHOUT PROVOCATION. Maybe you forgot the unspeakable horrors committed by Japanese soldiers, the killings, beheadings, the desecration of women, especially the Korean Comfort Women, and the Japanese invasion of Burma and China, atrocities beyond the pale of humanity, with no concern for decency, for human life, all done with undying devotion to their Emperor God, Hirohito. And maybe you also forgot that after WW II ended, the Americans gave aid to Japan and that because the Americans forgave the atrocities committed by the Japanese, Japan quickly recovered and built their country into a better place than it was under the reign of Hirohito. We Americans who lived through those days forgave the Japanese, but we will NOT forget. Soon, we will all be gone and nobody will remember and the distortions in videos like this one will be all that is left.

@davidmondtes7596 . . . Nas distorts history. Let me set the record straight: On December 7, 1941 Japan bombed Pearl Harbor WITHOUT PROVOCATION. Unspeakable horrors were committed by Japanese soldiers, the killings, beheadings, the desecration of women, especially the Korean Comfort Women, and the Japanese invasion of Burma and China, atrocities beyond the pale of humanity, with no concern for decency, for human life, all done with undying devotion to their Emperor God, Hirohito. After WW II ended, the Americans gave aid to Japan and that because the Americans forgave the atrocities committed by the Japanese, Japan quickly recovered and with Americas' help built their country into a better place than it was under the reign of Hirohito. We Americans who lived through those days forgave the Japanese, but we will NOT forget. Soon, we will all be gone and nobody will remember and the distortions in videos like this one will be all that is left.

This was an historically ignorant commentary. It failed to acknowledge the dropping of the atomic bombs were the result of Japan waging war throughout Asia and the Pacific for the previous 4 years at tremendous cost of military and civilian life, led by a fanatical leadership that saw surrender as an unbearable disgrace. It was estimated by the the Americans that to bring about ending the war would cost upwards of half a million American servicemen's lives and millions of Japanese. As terrible as the bombs were they prevented carnage of that scale by ending the war.
