Sad thoughts of mom...after dad passed away in 2011 (65 married years), she came to live with me and my Autistic son in 2012. EVERY SINGLE DAY, even through her Alzheimers she said "my wonderful husband died in 2011 on February 13th" and every evening "where are you, please come and take me with you"... phrases she said daily until her passing in November 2018 - I never tired of her phrases. She died at home... and when I came into her room to my amazement that even after from within the throes of death... her hands were cupped together (as if in prayer) with her wedding ring at the tip of her finger and the other hand holding and covering the ring and finger. That much she loved my dad right up to her dying day - she finally got her wish. This is testament that there is nothing more powerful than love. It is now 2020 and my heart is still heavy ... I will never forget. So... if you LOVE someone... show them and tell them so, each and every day that you love them - because if one day (in the blink of an eye) that they are not there - you will be grateful that you showed them how much you loved them - and that is the greatest gift of all. LOVE.
