This is great Tomo, playing rhythm at a high level and in time is really important. It’s boring sometimes but it’s worth it 😃. When I first started playing, it was all rock and metal barre chords and then I learned Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo by Rick Derringer and that was a great song to get my strumming technique going and also mix in chords other than basic barres. There’s also some cool syncopated rhythmic licks, and of course the muted strumming that you are famous for too. If you haven’t done it already, that song might be a good breakdown lesson for you to do sometime 👍🏼👌🏼

I have heard from few Professional Guitar Instructors that Fret muting is a lost art. Especially in back up players for studios. Foundation so very important. One must learn how to strike a nail before building a House. People really should build their guitar technique with a solid foundation. The rest will come so much easier. Rock On. When learning new picking patterns I learn the pattern then then the notes/chords. One thing at a time then blend together. Hang a capo if one gets bored with sound of open strings. I one can move the picking pattern up and down the strings the song becomes very easy and creating music becomes much smoother. Muscles only get memory thru repetition. Take Care Master Tomo. I do hope you and Dexter get to enjoy some warm sunshine today, it looks promising for you.

The boss, ir200, is a nice little piece of machinery, too. Especially if you download new impulse responses. You can do a million things with it. I'm finally happy with my sound, and now that i can compare my s.s. marshall with a couple of tubes that marshall is freaking fantastic. That peavey i just got is something special. There's too many options with amps and guitar's.

I play my swinging 8ths much better than straight 8ths. Because I only learned Jazz standards like "Take The A Train", "Satin Doll", "Fly Me To The Moon", or Blues like "One For Daddy-O" or "Blue Monk".. the only straight 8ths are in "Manhe de Carnaval" or "Blue Bossa"... or similar standards .. but I wished I could learn some of the R&B / Funk rhythms.
