Can't help but feel a bit bad for the vender. I'd assume he made it that easy so that kids would have a chance at winning them, and although its nice you gave them away, it doesn't give the same thrill to the kid if he won it himself. Wish there was a "Skill Meter" rating system on these types of machines, keymaster, Stacker... etc. That would allow the player to know how much skill is needed to win something. Older kids could spend time on more difficult games to get more valuable items, while younger kids could win obviously easier cheaper items, like plush lizards. Having everything based on skill would also do away with annoying "payouts", and would give players credible bragging rights. In reality though, the funding needed for such an overhaul would be enormous and not feasible. Regardless, its cool that you and your dad are spending so much time together doing something you love. Here's a idea for getting free tries get your phone put it on flash and then take a picture of the timer and the number of tries you get and then you should get a free try maybe it just works on other kind of claw machines or all of them but probably to do it when someone is not looking could get you in trouble
