We don't truly appreciate our youth until many decades later, when our children are grown and we happen to catch a video like this, reminding us that everything wonderful from that era no longer exists. It's like a nostalgia heartache mixed with the joy of re-discovery and remembrance. The 60s will forever remain the most remarkable and historic decade of all time.

So many great shows and songs back then, and you can tell in these clips they were just trying to have some fun - with no heavy political message attached to their performance. As a nation, and as a culture, we've truly lost something that was very special. Who today dances like Elizabeth Montgomery or Barbara Eden? No one. And I, for one, miss those 60s hairstyles. As we seek to discover the joy of being alive again, I think this video is providing us with a big hint on how to do it. Thanks so much for posting!

Elizabeth Montgomery and Barbara Eden were two of the prettiest women to ever be on television. There was an air of class to both of them. Teenage boys loved them, interesting since both women were old enough to have teenage children. In the clips used in this video, the Boyce and Hart episode of IDOJ was from October of 1967. Barbara Eden was 36 years old at that time. The clips of Elizabeth Montgomery look 1968-ish, making her 35 years old. These shows done today would use twenty something women, not women in their thirties. Barbara Eden will be 93 years old later this year. She's five months younger than William Shatner and fifteen months younger than Clint Eastwood. Our sixties stars continue to hang on and hopefully will for many years to come, but actuarial tables are not on their side.
