Because of the positive response my previous videos have had, here's my latest 'dancing video'. This will probably be the last one I make of these, so it's a little longer (over 7 minutes), and I've tried to include as many people as possible (some by request). Some weren't possible, simply because they didn't suit the edit.
As always keep the comments below respectful & on topic, otherwise they will just be removed and you may be blocked.
Films used:
Here's Lucy (TV show), Party Girl, Viva Las Vegas, Good News, Affair In Trinidad, Anchors Aweigh, Two Weeks With Love, There's No Business Like Show Business, The Barkleys Of Broadway, April In Paris, Bedknobs & Broomsticks, The Wiz, Royal Wedding, Road To Utopia, Damn Yankees, Knock On Wood, West Side Story, Salt And Pepper, Breakin' 2, Way Out West, Yankee Doodle Dandy, Tea For Two, The Harvey Girls, Red Hot And Blue, You Were Never Lovelier, Say One For Me, Hairspray, Houseboat, An American In Paris, Second Chorus, Murderer's Row, Texas Carnival, Hello Frisco, Kiss Me Kate, A Day At The Races, Big Broadcast Of 1938, Broadway Melody Of 1940, Lovely To Look At, Born To Dance, Small Town Girl, Music Man, Song Of The Islands, Ship Ahoy, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, Cabin In The Sky, Tap, Strike Up The Band, Annie, A Damsel In Distress, Daughter Of Rosie O' Grady, Three Little Words, Bloodhounds Of Broadway, Ziegfeld Follies, Stormy Weather, Panama Hattie, That Night In Rio, Half A Sixpence, Mark Of The Renegade, On The Riviera, The Kissing Bandit, Footloose, Ship Of Fools, The Best Things In Life Are Free, Deep In My Heart, Here Come The Waves, Has Anybody Seen My Gal, It's A Wonderful Life, Singin' In The Rain, Mame, Dance Girl Dance, La Donna Del Fiume (aka The River Girl), The Silencers, Hello Dolly, All That Jazz, Fiesta, Flower Drum Song, Sweet Charity, Look For The Silver Lining, Grease, Grease 2, Moon Over Miami, The Swinger, Down To Earth, Xanadu, Oliver, Mary Poppins, Show Boat (1951), The Tiger & The Pussycat, The Great American Broadcast, The Belle Of New York, The Blues Brothers, Blue Skies, The Muppet Show (TV show).

The precision with which these snippets of film were synched with the accompanying music is beyond description -- exquisite!! Kudos!! And such an array of memorable dance sequences really turns on the nostalgia for those of us who've been around for over 60 years. My hope is that the young ones coming up will appreciate these incredibly gifted artists, the "poetry in motion". Thank you for the pleasure of viewing!

I have watched and listened to this video hundreds of times! It always makes me smile, brings back memories of my younger dancing days! I have shared this video with everyone I know! My children included! You'll be happy to hear my kids have not only seen; Top Hat, Holiday Inn, My Fair Lady, Sound of Music, Arsenic & Old Lace, Abbott & Costello...but almost every day I will hear, "Alexa, play Sixteen Going On Seventeen", or another request for something before the 80's! They know Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, BB King, Bob Segar, Cary Grant, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Jimmy Stewart...Take heart, there are many young people aware and celebrating these geniuses!

Well except for maybe Ginger Rogers! Ann-Margret is absolutely stunning. And you can't beat the Rockettes for precision line dancing and then we have all the ice dancers. what a sight. And going back to Sonja Henny. I live for her movies at the time and when I got out on Ice I pretended I was another Peggy Fleming ! I dance every chance I get ever since American Bandstand and Dick Clark Graced the Air waves. even if I don't have a partner it's just one of the greatest things to do.

I am not a big dance fan (God knows I cant do it that well) but if this doesn't make people feel happy, then I feel sorry for them. Best wishes to you! Also want to give props to kingofkungfu for assembling this. 💯% Absolutely the best musical movie dances mash up I've ever seen on here! Not only were all the scenes perfectly timed to the beat but you even had little things like lights turned on, Get Down written on a sign in the background, Kevin Bacon yelling "Let's dance", and people dancing on the ceiling all at the same times that those things were being sung in the song. Hand claps matched up great and the "mood" of the movie scenes matched the times the song slowed and sped up. Going to watch this one a lot!

Indeed. You look at the actors in this video who weren't even primarily known for dancing but it was expected they would be good at it. La La Land, while enjoyable, made it quite clear that today's actors just can't do it. They tried, bless them. Similarly, I ride horses and I remember my old instructor from years and years ago listing the actors who could still get on a horse and ride in real life - and were good at it. Not just the ones who were know mostly for Westerns either (like John Wayne or even Ronald Reagan)! Harrison Ford just being one. Now, it's "how hot do you look?" with "hot" defined as "how close to this months IT-Look are you?" 😭

@@michaelhoffmann2891 Those were the days when, as David Niven put it, actors all needed a practical skill or a bicycle shop on the side for the lean times when scripts slow or cease all together. Those actors who went back to steel working between films, etc. Jeremy Renner, construction worker and property developer who sees acting as a hobby, and Jessica Alba, have that real-life skillset and bicycle shop on the side , going. Probably more but not in the numbers there used to be.

I just get such a lot of pleasure, from the very clever editing, that anyone would be perseptive enough, clever enough, imagine enough, all lthose movies, all those stars, all that talent, with that song. Watched all the footage, and married it up. I has have seen all those movies. This is such a pleasure and joy, i bow to you all thanks a million.

this is medicine. made me so happy it made me cry. Thank you for all your work to make and post it and very much for also listing your source material so we can put names to faces and movies on the list to watch. This is a great gift for a tough time - interestingly enough just as many of the movies you source lifted spirits in other tough times in our history.

I love to dance even as an old guy. Just if I thought I had some great moves I’ve had occasion to watch this great compilation of so many, many great talents, and it is both humbling, yet inspiring to keep moving and dancing. Thank you for putting this together for us. A most splendid job!

This is well done with a great selection of dance scenes. There are many great dancers here, such as Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire, and a few that I don't recognize. Thanks to them all for making the movies memorable 👏👏👏👏

[Edit] Without a doubt, this is by a huge length of far the best dance mash-up of old movies to modern tunes I have ever watched. Great artistry is in the details, and the attention to detail here is stupendous. If you're not accustomed to seeing these kinds of mash-ups, find one by someone else, bookmark it, then come watch this one several times before finally going to your other selection. There is a immense but subtle difference. This one deserves an Oscar for excellence in the art of mash-up. [Original comment] So far, this is the best dance mash-up of old movies to modern tunes I've seen. Matching content to lyrics with great segues, no perceptible lags or advances on the tempo, a great selection of clips, many of which were new to me, a wonderful up-beat song. Loved it!

What a wonderful, incredible, and moving video montage done to perfection. In the 1970s as teenagers we discovered how while listening to our favorite songs with the TV muted your mind will look for synchronization and it was fun to do. When marvelous movie dance sequences are masterfully woven together with a great song, well, that's just magical. Thank you for creating and sharing all that you have, it brings real joy to others !
