I first saw Ian and Jethro Tull in 1971. Again in 72. Since then about 5 times. Lastly in around 2005. Of course Ian fronted every incarnation of Tull. An ever changing lineup would include very good musicians, with Ian being the constant since 1967. Those early two shows were the best concerts I’ve ever attended. And I’ve seen most of the big name acts.

I hate to admit it but I love this guy!! Yes , he is a sleaze ball but, tongue in cheek, he’s one step ahead of us all and will be around in some form or fashion after us all!! This character he’s created is brilliant. Where did he disappear to??😂😂🎉🎉 I love the way he slithers around the back of the room….. and a true musician!!

Ian is a true rock legend. Not only has he led one of the finest prog rock bands with distinction over the years, but he has been an excellent singer over the years and his flute playing is magical. Always loved it when he stood on one leg while playing the flute!

This is simply amazing. Jethro Tull orchestral didn't sound inspiring but omg once I heard Budapest I realised what an amazing & extraordinary job Ian Anderson had done in putting it together!

'Thick as a brick' is in the top 10 albums ever released worldwide. It tells us all we need to know like Yes's 'Close To The Edge'.

T'was a long day, at the end of a long week. This was a wonderful way to draw it to a close. Headphones, recliner, 3 cats (allegedly, as a whole they don't bode well for the feline race) and a 3 legged dog. A fine Friday evening.

Ian can play with one hand that most can't do with two .

When Tull played at Michigan State University (around 1971), they did an ultra-extended version of "My God," with several other pieces - and an unannounced ten-minute intermission - pushed in between the first and last sections. (Many of the hippies pretended to be irked - my buddies took it in good humour.)

Would not play the Flute; if not for Ian Anderson _ met him in 1969 after he (almost) shut down Led Zeppelin
