The speed and MVP's ability to get in and get out still surprised Garry even though Gary's game plan from the start was to grapple - spent most of his camp with grapplers. All things about his personal life aside- I do fail to see skills that would put him in the upper echelons of the division.

Gary wants to be a fan favorite. He gives off the vibe that he is "entitled" to it. Yet, his actions do not align with a fan favorite fighter. In my dumbass opinion, there's two ways to sell that. Either you are honest and humble, "I was afraid I'd get a loss and i did what i had to do. Judge me if you must, but you weren't the one in the cage" or "It was rigged from the start and the fix was in. And I've talked to reliable sources in the mma media who in no uncertain terms told me that point blank. I was supposed to look bad. They set me up. Luckily with the support of my beautiful wife, we conquered the odds and 'still' came out on top"

The bigger problem is that guy who's running Rakhamov twitter account. Like he was asked on this topic by kazakh blogger and you could tell that Rakhmanov himself is not that enthusiastic about this matchup.

Before I thought your editor was probably a smart guy and just not good at what he was doing. The fact he hasn't analyzed the feedback on his jump cuts any farther than to reduce their frequency, in my opinion, could be a sign that the issue might be with competence rather than experience

Chael, you are just wrong about the wrestling. Garry did set up those takedown just not very well because he's not good at wrestling. Just go look at the 1st and 2nd takedowns, he clearly was waiting to shoot at the right time. Garry even said that he was planning on grappling in the post fight, granted he did say he would ourtstrike him before the fight.

Fight stunk. Was a terrible thing to watch. MVP is 0-2 in UFC when it comes to entertaining fights. Guy was great in the minor leagues & entertaining in the media. But in the ufc he just runs & pop shots.

I don't like Ian , but he is a elite fighter. Undefeated. MVP is crazy good at ending the night with one shot. Smart ,but boring. Is Ian top 5? Don't know, may never if he doesn't get more traction with the fans. Cant imagine he wins against Rakmonof.
