Politicians - always learning lessons, recovering from 'mistakes', rarely held accountable for the crap they stirred up.

The guy finally coped on in his later years. If he were still with us now (along with mc Guinness) , NI probably would have been in a better place.

Going to 9:15 here on this video. Eamon Mallie asks him "Calling the Pope The Antichrist"? And Paisley's answer "That is the language of Luther. That is the language of Calvin. That is the language of protestantism - and I won't apologise for being a protestant"... The man was a disgrace. He brought religion into Northern Ireland politics. And he caused that much trouble...

Why should he apologise for being Protestant? I didn't agree with him in a lot of his ideas. The reformation changed everything.

His bigotry and hatred will never defeat those who resist foreign rule in Ireland.

How dare these bigots deny any Irish man or Irish women the right to equality in their own country. If they want to be English let them go to their homeland.

Robert Shaw so are you also calling for the repatriation of the Irish in the UK, NI, Scotland, England and Wales not to mention the rest of the Commonwealth?

I absolute idiot. You realise at least over half of Irish people have British ancestry?

History will remember him as the adrenalin booster for sectarian hatred. Some say that the troubles would not have happened if it was not for Paisley. I just viewed some of his tirades on youtube and he seems like a diabolical, Christian fundamentalist, hate filled man
