It's nearly time to deck the halls, but I have a little cleaning to do first.

the sound reminds me of when my sisters used to polish our kitchen floor with our old grandma's Columbus polisher ;)

Always nice to see a SEBO make an appearance. I have never used the SEBO powder but have used the Dyson powder in the past. It is more of a grain like consistency. It does freshen the room nicely and gives the carpet that extra fresh look but I doubt it is great for truly dirty carpets. Nice video, as always!

I have used the Dyson Zorb in the past, but it seemed to be like fragranced sawdust. The Sebo powder is not grainy and is safe to use with any vacuum and disappears into the carpet when properly brushed in. Today I used the Sebo Duo on my Mum's living room carpet and it gave a similar result to a wet extraction carpet washer but without hours waiting for the carpet to dry.

ibaisaic did the zorb seem to clean as well as the duo p? I have used the lindhaus power and it was also like sawdust, didn't really clean very well so I hope the sebo powder works better.

i find when using this machine while it seems like the duo powder is getting scrubbed down into the carpet actually a lot gets accumulated in the brushes and in the cavity where they sit. bumping it a few times on the carpet helps to dislodge it and you can scrub that in too. i find i have to do this several times when doing a room

I've been using the powder for years but I've been using Sebo's Daisy non powered applicator because it has softer bristles and I have wool rugs. One of the great advantages of Sebo Duo P powder is that dust mites won't survive in the rugs for six months after cleaning.

Yes, the Duo isn't suitable for all carpets due to the vigorous action of the brushes, but I believe you can get softer brushes for it. I may try the Daisy at some point to see how effective it is as the Duo machine is a bit pricey for some people.

This process of using a "magical" powder to dry clean a carpet is something that never really took off in North America. I can recall only one company offering a device to brush in such a powder - and that was the Amway door-to-door housewares sales company. Not quite sure why this kind of carpet cleaning technique never became popular here. Even the venerable stain-fighting Bissell company never sold such a system. It seems that we preferred the floor polisher/carpet shampooer for many decades until the new carpet washers came onto the scene.

Awesome video!! I want the Sebo Duo Brush machine but it's about $550 bucks. I might try using my Sebo Felix but not sure if I want to muck it up lol. Thanks for the video Roger.. two thumbs up!

Could you possibly test the Sebo duo powder vs Dyson Zorb
@wadej887 жыл бұрын
Hey Ibasiac, just wondering what your thoughts are on the cheaper supermarket carpet powders like Preen etc? I sell/service vacuums and the customers who use those sorts of powders always have blocked filters and it seems to travel through the motor like plaster dust.

Nice to see the Duo once again! Was that awful stain right front of the chair removed? I've seen it in a couple of the recent videos (looks like a browning stain from a liquid spill perhaps). Nice job Roger!

That "stain" in in fact a burn mark when I accidentally kicked over the iron. It is normally covered up by a rug, but I will be buying a new living room carpet next year.

Where does the dirt go on the sebo
@ibaisaic6 жыл бұрын
The dirt is absorbed into the powder which is removed from the carpet using a vacuum cleaner.

From a professional carpet cleaners perspective these dry methods make me cringe. The only way to truly extract the most soul out of your carpets is hot water extraction! Preferably with a high powered truck mounted system!
