You’ve been asking and we're answering the call. The new BTB806MS features a thunderous and bone-crushing low B that can only be achieved with a 37” scale length. The 34.5” to 37” multi-scale design allows metal bassists who thrive in the realms of overdrive and distortion to still impose an authoritative low-frequency response.

Nice clarity on that low-B. At about 2/3 the price of a Dingwall (at least for the 5-string version), I'm glad Ibanez has properly got onboard with the multiscale thing - and actually done with a 37" low B

@Alexandria Occasional Cortex u must play slow stuff i you found pick harder than finger....any guitarist/bassist can play steve harris bass line with a pick....98% can with finger

Agreed. I thought 6 strings would be too much, but i’ve come to enjoy the extra possibilities it provides such as arpeggios and chords.

I'm a Dingwall Afterburner owner and I've always loved the BTB body shape and almost everything about it... If I were shopping for a bass today I'd probably go with the Ibanez.

I always assumed it was the artist themselves that made the video, as most of them have their own production teams to shoot their own content these days. Notice how the styles of video are so different from one to the next, because they're usually in the style of each artist. Obviously Ibanez commissions them to do it, but they also get the added boost of being featured on this channel to promote some gear.

@@sqlb3rn Indeed is fretting the string. The idea is that the action and sound on the open strings is the same as in the fretted notes
