The only reason I don't buy it is that it costs more for left-handed people than for right-handed people.

I knew all of this already, but the info is so well-presented, I've favorited the video to show other people who're learning, because it explains so well how guitars work.

Is it just me or does it a fanfret guitar?

It isn't a multiscale. All the frets are fanned at the same angle, which doesn't make this a multiscale in the truest sense. A multiscale has the frets being fanned in a manner that has the angle being more exaggerated the higher up the neck, which in turn, gives the instrument a different scale length for each string, thus the term "multiscale". What Ibanez has done with their Q series, is have all of their frets fanned at the exact same angle, which means that this isn't much different from any other parallel fretted instrument, and it doesn't have a different scale length for each string. Hope this info helps!

All frets are 8 degree slanted, which bring stretched chords and patterns slightly closer and make them easier to be played.

Of all the "affordable" versions of Mark, Misha, and Jake Periphery sigs, this is easily the highest spec'd one. It has the Dimarzio Titan pickups, a genuine, thick maple cap with the natural binding, and Gotoh locking tuners - literally the only thing that needs to be modded at purchase is replacing the cheap plastic nut, but all the affordable Periphery sigs have plastic nuts, and that's a $10-20 fix, tops. Personally I might also swap the gibralter bridge with a hipshot ibby bridge, but that's to taste.

I think I’ve been adjusting my Trem incorrectly this whole time. I thought I had to align the top side of the trem with the body and NOT the bottom. I’m seeing here and heard on another video that I should align with the bottom.

I have considered buying the relic'ed Ibanez ASV10A Vintage Low Gloss Tobacco Burst in the Artcore range, but I do not like this chipped and abused glossy look. Anyone who treats a guitar to look like this, does not deserve it. I love my beautiful High Gloss Transparent Cherry Ibanez AS73T from 2008 and maybe (hopefully) it soon will have a ASV10A as a companion.
@upload23522 күн бұрын
Keep in mind that the video's ASV100 is an upscale version of the ASV10A. The ASV100 has Super 58 Custom pickups, while the ASV10 has the cheaper Classic Elite pickups. Very different tones between the two. I'm surprised to read above that the ASV100's neck is "small" - The "V" is for "vintage," which suggests thicker (not wider) necks. My ASV measures .93 at the first fret and my smaller AMV measures .88, while the typical Ibanez AM/S 93, for example, is usually "21mm) (or .82). I would have expected this ASV100 to measure at least in the low .90s.
