Sir, you are a genius, thank you so very much for all your insights and massive respects 🙏 With all due respects, wish to submit my following views: Being a final, knowing Ahmd being a slow pitch, with highest expectations & humongous pressure, pitch was not upto the mark. India must not have gone with same team, we must have saved the best for the last, brought a left arm pacer and right arm spinner ashwin on a pitch like this. Also, even if it was same team, then, we should bowled with a left arm spinner & 3rd pacers for 7-10 overs since 4th wicket was not on our way. I personally feel very bad for Dravid Maybe last WC for Kholi and Rohit Losing at home is very depressing :(

Seriously there is no point of discussion as it looked like a scripted match ....Aussies only fielding was great and placing was outstanding and most indian batsmen got out for mokka balls and in earlier matches the same balls went to boundaries and six but sadly it was a let down today .....India just gave away the worldcup it looked like a scripted match this sudden drastic change looks weird Aus becoming lik a rajnikanth movie on oneday and India becoming lik a patta bagyam padatti legyam getting outshined given the fact with their topnotch performance earlier its just abnormal or bizarre to digest .....Cricket dies with scripted matches lik bigboss shows......

Kohli - 765 runs. Rohit - 597 runs. Iyer - 530 runs. Rahul - 452 runs. Gill - 350 runs. Shami - 24 wickets. Bumrah - 20 wickets. Jadeja - 16 wickets. Kuldeep - 15 wickets. Siraj - 14 wickets. I don't think any Indian team has produced such dominating performances in WC history. Almost everyone performed. Every team is bound to have a bad day and its just unfortunate that India endured its bad day in the final

Struggle panni IND knock outs ku poi loose panirundha ok,but after playing this type of dominant cricket,losing the final is 💔💔💔. I have never seen IND playing this dominant cricket like this in ICC tournaments in last 15-20yrs. Got to feel lot for Rohit Sharma( His last odi WC). Dravid & Rohit kept this team as a Family. SA bowling is ridiculously underrated they fought so well and had they held half their catches they would have beat aus and they did not have Nortje . Even Markram looked threatening . Indian bowling looked extremely flat .

Because rohits captaincy is not up to the mark in this match ..he changed siraj 1 St spell with shami spell that is one of the big mistake...and Rohit's fiery knock came after gills wicket...and he got out may be should have stood there for extra 5-6 overs...and sky is the worst player in odis...and they have selected him...these are the reasons for the loss

A leg spinner was brought into the team at the very last moment just before the start of the tournament. Again no man to man replacement for H.Pandya (injury prone) rather they saw Shradul or considered Azar as an all round option was a bad call. And also Considering Sky as an X factor player in ODI is over the expectation of him.

They were given toss advantage. They had two lead spinners with a part timer. Batted first as always. If nortje injured, then ashton agar also injured, so what. Just imagine reverse situation, Aus ending 212 in 1st innings, SA would have choked and lost anyway.

Aus Winning Toss is NOT Gift. It was cleverly planned study to restrict every batsmen (gill, iyer, jadeja, sky). Bcoz they know if Restrict to lower-score, only they can carefully chase against indias mighty bowling, cannot do in FIRST batting as they dont know what score to SET.

This is a game and you will have one winner and Australia played very well and deserved to be the winner. I also don’t believe Ashwin’s inclusion would have changed the result nor can you expect Ashwin to be brought into the final when the bowling combo looked very settled.

what makes you think our bowling looks settled.we won semi final because of one man shami.not collective bowling unit.over dependence of shami cost us.we should rotate players like how australia did.india should test shardul and ashwin over sky.ashwin inclusion makes australia took cautious approach.players like warner,smith,labuschagne cant score run freely.he bowl defensive in one end

@@arul1719 commenting on hindsight makes everything feel obvious. Play Ashwin and the same people will cry why change the bowling unit when they were doing so well. Overall in the tournament the bowlers did a good job and yes in the semis Shami stole the show but in this pitch none of our other two spinners got any wickets, so I stick with my opinion that Ashwin may not have made a difference. As for Shardul Thakur, I would definitely not have played him because his bowling skills are way subpar and not worth the few additional runs he may get as a batter.

@@stephenking9305 Australia trusted marnus over stoinis. They get their reward. Not trying out of box will lead into downfall. Dhoni trusted raina in 2011 he pulled off in qf and semis. Ashwin will not make single handedly win. But he deserves to play atleast one match against overrated sky.

That I agree, SKY has been a huge disappointment but it was abundantly clear India didn’t want to play with 3 spinners other than the first game. Heck if not for Pandya’s injury we may never have seen Shami in the playing eleven and who knows we might have been knocked out in the semis itself. Anyways Australia were tactically superb and did their homework while India succumbed to the pressure and were well short of runs.

@@stephenking9305 yeah.. But management didn't think shami, bumrah, Ashwin, jadeja, kuldeep and shardul. Sky and siraj should rested in few league matches will make difference. Jadeja and kuldeep didn't seem fresh in final.. They r worned out of continuos playing. Australia have man to man replacement.. India too have but not take apt decision. Hope sky should sidelined and yongster like rinku, tilak should grab their chances

Excellent point PDogg.. If Travis Head can hit 139 in 40+ overs..Rohit with 47 runs within 10 overs, can't digest the carnage he missed to assault if he batted 5-10 overs more.. There iz a big difference between Selfishness and Carelessness..🌚😬

Team like Auz never give importance for personal milestones that is the key for their success. When they dropped player like Mark Waugh in early 2000 it was surprising and shocker for me. His own brother Steve continued to play even as a captain. I am not telling Indian players are playing only for personal records, but they are so much worried about their career/future (which is acceptable to an extend). But considering our huge population and bench strength hire and fire policy (contract basis) is much better than putting the player under constant threat of securing their own place.

Whatever we say, Australia is simply born to win. They are a team with certain standards & they simply are REAL Champions. AUS domination in cricket that started in the mid-90s just hasn't finished, though it might have wavered a bit. India, on the other hand, is good in producing super stars who score gazillion runs with million centuries, blah..blah...blah. So what next? The next time Ind is to meet Aus, it will be billed as revenge & one of our superstars will score an extraordinary century or even 200 & Ind will "CRUSH" Aus, which is good enough for us. Anyways, BCCI has given us IPL, so at least some section of Indians can enjoy the winning feeling, right?? 1983 - 2011 - 2039??

When Rohit Scored 50+ and missed 100s like 61,81 and 87 can said as Selfless innings.. ❤️ But, the 5 innings he was out at 40s like 40(24),44,47(29),48, again 47(31)..can't completely term as selfless innings..😬 Most dismissals came by carelessness.. Hadn't he been captain, people would have questioned more about it.. But, as he was captain..everything was fyn untill the real Devil arrived😢

I feel australia planning and excecution was better. Their planning to each batter was top class. I feel we should have go for mix of coaches, someone from foreign too who had been there at those situations. Look at australia, Mcdonald, Vettori, flower , Mcdonald has been recently doing well, flower is a coaching legend, won many trophies as coach, that winning mentality is important, vettori has played a lot on indian pitches We have dravid, rathore, paras, among which dravid was then only one experienced at international circuit, but he too hasn't been part of wc winning teams or in the title winning space The foreign coach will bring a totally new approach from outside , Have an indian head coach atleast supported by foreign coach We won 2011 and 2013 under ( gary - eric - upton ) , duncan
