I'm from New York, and Ice Cube is exactly right! I didn't like the West Coast rap, with the exception of a few songs. But they did have their own style, and when New York started to emulate them, Hip Hop got real corny. Then Wu Tang dropped and the East Coast started sounding like the East again.

Cube gives a great explanation on this issue and it makes sense. It really wasn't NWA's fault that everyone started to bite their style. Also, people gets a ton of respect of how he didn't allow the white guy to diss Farrakhan.
