That +20% non-core manpower modifier is actually so OP. There's basically no reason to puppet anything since even with 0 compliance you're gonna be gaining more manpower than it costs to garrison.

The fact that Iceland has a better focus tree then Germany shows where the priorities are in the world

Just imagine being british in this world you dont want any war after the horrors of ww1 then you see the axis do what they could not in ww1 and captured all countries that opposed them in mainland europe then you hear news of an invasion but it is not the germans it is a random island called iceland despite having no ice and a lot of volcanoes

8:55 that's also one of the tricks you can use with Germany to naval invade the UK by going from the port north of amsterdam which puts the arrow exactly in between the english channel and the eastern north sea so you only need supremacy in the north sea

Great video. My run was similar, except invading Netherlands was very painful. I should have used the market from the start. Yugoslavia gave me basically all my guns and artillery. I didnt continue after the allies capped, i didnt know about that absurd non core pop advisor. Wow that is broken.

Great Video! For your next video, I'd recommend playing the Hoi4 mod "Battle of Seelow Heights" and attempt to save historical April 12th Germany from total disaster, it's a tough challenge hopefully.

If they want to go more realism heavy I think they should do something about the Indonesian man power, unlike for instance India the Indonesians didn't really fight as much in the Dutch armies, and do something about the naval invasions, ideally that you need superiority for a period not just a tick, with the possibility to react.

First of all: i love your work. Much like yourself i am someone who has attempted to grow a channel on the side, all while working, having family, etc. and I can only imagine the time commitment required to run a channel and provide content of this quality. I honestly can admit i never would have understood the game like i do now if it weren't for your videos amd tutorials when i picked the game up 2 months ago so mad props to you my friend. But i have a project Im considering starting but im not proficient enough with the game itself to make a quality video. Im wanting to recreate as accurately as humanly possible USA 's involvement in WW2. Im talking about accurate ship names, generals/admirals, advisors, and army and fleet compositions. Essentially follow the real world timeline and make a video from the perspective of pure history. I know that would be quite an undertaking but ive already done all the research necessary for it. I just need help from somebody with a far greater understanding of the mechanics of the game. If you know any content creators who might be interested in something of that nature, or have any suggestions or can point me in the right direction it would truly be helpful!

Envy your luck here bitter. Tried three times and failed. First time HOL did not budge, lost half the convoy and 2 DD. Second time UK intercepted 2 out of 3 naval invasions to Hull, and the one they let slip, well that's the one hitting Hull where it was guarded. Third time the charm, the naval invasion did not even launch and it is 40, more than half the convoy ship is gone to maintain troops on HOL supplied.

Invading the Netherlands as Finland before AAT was ridiculously easy. All you had to do was get a good beachhead and defend mainly Rotterdam and Amsterdam until you could strike back and take a port.

If you invade Britain from the tile north off Amsterdam, you can bypass the channel and eastern north sea. You just need to have supremacy on the north sea. Same works on Spain, from Leon to Bristol, just 1 region needed.

Ye somethings wrong with special forces. As Finland I played a late game (1947) and all and i mean ALL my divisions were mountaineers (I had 3 army groups)

I've seen another youtuber play as Iceland and he got an advisor that gave him weekly 500 manpower and 20% manpower on non-core territory. The advisor is a doctor of some sort, but i'm not sure if its modded or base game. Could you confirm this?
