If you look at a map of Europe, and spot Lithuania’s location, you wouldn’t expect that Iceland has been one of its best friends. The fact that Lithuania and Latvia are like two peas in a pod - (or creepy twins, as others might say,) comes as much less of a surprise. But why exactly do Lithuania and Iceland share such a special relationship?

As a Lithuanian I definetly agree about Russia being a bully, but why China? What did they do? Since like 1960 all they did was grow their economics and cause 0 wars, while the US caused AT LEAST more than 2… U little žirga galva😂

Everyone loves Island. In Tallinn square with Lenin was - after removing statue of Lenin of course - named to "Iceland Square". Address of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tallinn is Iceland Square 1.

u've missed one thing - Lt payed its carma with relay race and recognized a Taiwan`s sovereignty. Being far away of China ;) Nowadays USA has joined As we, Lithuanians, used to say, one swallow/martin doesnt mean a spring time, but everything starts from that 1st one

What about the Lithuanian-Moldovan relations since Moldova was the first country to recognise Lithuania’s independence, but was not recognised since it was part of the Soviet Union.

Iceland is the GOAT! I'm Lithuanian and will never forget that they never acknowledged our annexation as legal and where first to recognize us as a free democratic country when we broke the soviet union (fuck that cancer btw). Iceland will always have my gratitude!
