In today's video we are travelling Iceland! This is mine and my boyfriend Shane's first trip to Iceland and this was an amazing trip! We went for 4 nights, 5 days direct with TUI and had the best time. We flew from Gatwick Airport in London UK 🇬🇧 and had pre-booked Antigen Tests with Express Test at the airport the night before, Iceland only accepts PCR or Antigen Tests who are done by a Professional Health Tester so please bare that in mind when travelling to Iceland! For Northern lights good camera gear will make a big difference. That level of activity you saw is still quite low, it can build and build throughout the night. We prefer to hire cars and chase clear skies and activity ourselves rather than the tours so not limited on time 🙂

How long did you get in the blue lagoon all together? Trying to work out if it's better to do a combination excursions like yourself or off it's worth booking direct from the airport to get a little bit longer in there. Did you feel rushed or was it plenty of time ? TIA x

I would say a good comfortable hour, you have a good 10 minutes to get changed etc. some people on our tour decided to use the food facilities but majority of us went straight for the lagoon! personally if I were to go back to Iceland (defo planning to!) I would travel the south side and go straight to blue lagoon from the airport, seeing as I’ve done it once it was lovely to go to after the long volcano tour, but I highly recommend spending a good half day or entire day / overnight stay or at least the restaurant if you can! we didn’t feel rushed but I know how I’ll do it next time x

what time in the month did you go? was this jan or feb ? im trying to decide when to go and wondering if end of feb is still winter time there. i know january doesnt have a lot of sunlight. love the vlog by the way

In February! We went in the beginning/middle of February, defo recommend going somewhere a bit better for the Northern Lights and also we had lots of daylight! Thank you so much lovely for watching! 🥰🫶🏼
